I would feel like a bit of a tool wearing those only for the button atari. Besides, the main reason that I like buttons with raw jeans are the points of stress that develop from them. Here is a dramatic example on Westbrook's jeans here:

buttons are easier for me... on my apcs (both my hipsters and new cures) there are only 3 buttons and i just undo the top 2 anyway.

wack sauce, ii had a better idea like a year ago. the buttons would be what would hold the zipper on the jeans, so you would also get the corresponding folds across the lap due to the lateral force being applied to the buttons, not just button shapped fades on the fly area.
