obscure vintage jean brands?

I got these recently, look to be maybe 1 wash . They have 2 color stitching, some crazy belt loops with wide bartacks, half redline selvage, right hand twill, gripper zipper (50's-early 60's) Lee type rivets, union tag.. They are like cross between big E levis and Lee. Anyone else out there collect this stuff?

i had a great big smith vintage duffel coat that i got for about 5 quid in a charity shop in alexandria in egypt but it got nicked in a club, cunts

I lovethese early brands. There were already dozens of jeans makers by 1900, so in total there must be hundreds of diffferent brands that have disappeared over the years. I have a great little Type 1-derived kids' jacket, no maker's mark, probably late 40s or early 50s, in a unique selvage denim... good job I don't live in the US or I'd have a wardrobe of the stuiff.

I got these on ebay for like $50. I saw that they looked quite a bit earlier than Big Smith jeans I have seen in the past so I bid on them. I got them for less than 1/2 of what I was willing to pay for them.

Old jeans from the more 'obscure', as you say, brands aren't worth much. Thats a fact, so what they goes for really all depends on the style and collectors searching eBay at the time.
