IDM Changed Kiya's Life

Recommended Posts

Their live shows are, for the most part, improv and I've heard they're amazing. I'd like to get some live Autechre.

Anyone got a stash?

I have "Live at Coachella" and "Live in Toronto 2001." I can't find anymore.

'seen' them a few times (never actually visible when they were playing though)

Always amazing.

Not got any recordings but would also like some, anyone?

Only got their official output on warp, mask, smak etc

I had a recording from their Untilted tour from Montreal I think and it was fucked. Sets from their earlier days are amazing though but I can't stand Draft 7.30 or Untilted material.

Autechre is amazing nonetheless.

Yeah Draft 7.30 is probably my least favorite album by them. I like Untitled, I know a lot of people really into AE, don't, not sure why. Tri Repetae++ is probabaly my favorite actual album though.

Autechre before Draft 7.30 is all the IDM you need.

The Tuss ep was interesting but I hope it really isn't Richard James behind it, it doesn't hold up to his past work. The Analord series wasn't that great either.

photophob's fragmentary i ep is probably the best IDM i've heard recently but feel free to prove me wrong

As for ambient, I dig Chris Herbert and the fact he has a track called "Let's Get Boring!"

idmmmmmm

intelligent dance music

lolololololol

kind of funny because I can't fucking dance to it.

isn't that something?

unintelligent.

referring to sparse music as "ambient" is a joke.

what ever happened to "electronic music"

theres electronic music and then there is electronic dance music.

cut the idm/ambient/electronica shit out.

please

I've got about 5 to 7 CDs of live recordings.. i'll try and put them up somewhere this week sometime.

The last time i put up autechre MP3's i was sued by Warp Records, that was 1997.

Anybody from the IDM list remember that debacle ten years ago?
