The traditional tabi shoes are not so odd looking, but all of the Margiela tabi toes really do make the wearer look as though they've got hooves, especially from the front....

Really do not like the spikes on those low top ones .. I dunno, just reminds me of like Hot Topic or kids with those spike belts.

The high tops however, are pretty cool. I like the big lace holes, pretty obscure looking.
