Do they have any policy about employees buying tons of stuff at 50% or 30% off and flogging off on ebay or to friends? If not, money making opportunities abound.

Also, I assume as employee, you have first dips on sample or warehouse sales?

there's a limit on how much you stuff u can get a year...

Time to get the colleagues involved and use their staff discount then.

But I think Gucci, Balenciaga would never foresee their staff would be purchasing 20 of their bags in one year and so might not have set a limit.

and a FAT 70% disc. on all items that they are confirmed to actually wear themselves to work.

Well, I just have to carry 4 handbags and 1 big LV luggage to work everyday.

Of course due to wear and tear, these need to be changes every quarter.

I know the following stand in Australia for retail staff:

Georgio Armani - 50% off (limited purchase amount) + random 90% off staff sales (unlimited purchase amount but very limited stock available)

Bally - 50% off (purchased for yourself/gifts only)

Gucci - 50% off (limited monthly spend, you can go over this amount but it will then be deducted from subsequent months, something like AU$700 p/month)

  • 5 months later...

if this happens i'll cut my dick that's why :

hedi worked for lvmh owned by bernard arnault

despite he left dior, they're supposed to be friends

gucci group is owned by ppr which is owned by mr pinault who is arnault's worst worst enemy (they had a war over gucci takeover years ago btw)

so if hedi has a bit of whats called loyalty...

and gucci is so different of dior

but its just my two cents

I wonder what the structure of his deal is, apparently he had bones about majority ownership of his signature label....but I mean really....he's an amazing designer that obviously has commercial appeal, but still a new brand is alot of money to hand over to a creative person....I'm not sure if I would give majority ownership either...even if i was a multibillion dollar company...but i can't wait to see what he comes up with should be ill
