no they fit smaller than wallabees. my weavers are 9 and i'm a true 8.5 and they're only a tiny bit bigger.

This is the first I've heard about shaving the outsole. So I googled and found this:

the pretty green stuff is pretty terrible. its just liam blowing paul weller by means of a clothing line.

Yeah the heel looks ever so slightly thinner I think. The difference is pretty subtle.
