Who can hem jeans - chainstitch?

Wow, only takes a week to finish? That's not bad at all!

Can you tell me the price for the services for a pair of jeans? And is there a discount if I bring a few?

Any pictures of before/after results? I would like to see how well it is done. I'm sure its one helluva job, but I just want to see =)

Unfortunately no discount on multiple pairs because the volume we are doing besides generally most of the customers bring in multiples.It's 18$ for a superhem and if it's raw denim then it needs only a wrinkle hem 16$.I don't have pics ,sorry.

they make Artysm, a brand for men, they've got the chain stich machine.

I called Levis about hemming a while ago. They said yes, but that they only hem Levis products. Maybe if you know somebody who works there....

What do you guys think of Chainstiching a hem that was originally not chainstitched? does it change the feel of the jeans too much?

Depends on whether the jeans have been washed. Chainstitched hems, when washed, often get that nice 'crinkly' look. But not too many jeans have conventional stitching on hems, to my knowledge. I wou;dn't chainstitch the hem on a pair of LVC 1901 repros, but given how difficult that is to do, it's not a problem likely to arise!

I need to go into Cinch so I'll ask David or Colin. BTW, when they did repairs at the Levi's flagship in Regent St, they did't have a chainstitch m/c.

my pair of APC's have regular stitching on it. I wonder if i should chainstich the hem if i decide to hem them shorter...?

Has anyone had their hems chainstitched at 45rpm in Paris recently?

Had my last couple of pairs done at BiG but reckon Paris will be easier this time around. Would like to know what they're charging at the moment and any comments on how they looked? TIA.
