Spent the recent long weekend just eating out with the missus.

 

Ramen Yushoken's Shoyu. Possibly Manila's best bowl until Nagi Butao opens.

 

 

Buon Giorno's Four Cheese. Best crust I've had locally so far.

 

 

Grilled spicy pork belly from Grill by Antonio's. 

 

 

Blueberry Pancakes from Bag of Beans. 

 

 

Had dinner at Breakfast by Antonio's, Morcilla Roesti...

 

 

Had breakfast there again the next day, Pastrami Sandwich...

 

 

Golden Waffle. The 'burnt maple syrup' this was served with was mad.

stuff from past few weeks:

 

pizza from scratch (pepperoni + bacon + mushroom)

- better 2nd time around. a quick and cheap replacement for making your own dough is to use naan, it works pretty good

 

 

squid tentacles (rice vinegar + sesame oil + sugar + soy)

- some of the best non-fried i've ever had

 

oysters (butter + chili + basil + garlic)

- a buck each, pretty fantastic

 

 

spring lamb rack (rosemary + garlic)

- second time making lamb. first time i baked it; grilling it seems to easily get rid of that gamey vagina taste

 

 

pork ribs smoked with hickory wood chips (beer bbq sauce + chili powder + honey)

- took pretty long and wasn't entirely worth the effort

 

 

pork cutlets (black pepper sauce / lemongrass sauce)

- cheap, lean. pretty decent tastes like chicken breast

 

 

running out of new things to grill. probably gonna give duck on the grill a shot

yeah i need to eat some more vegetables. it's not even like they're expensive, and everything is awesome on the grill

With grilling you can always go for zucchini, asparagus, carrot, peppers or even halved brussel sprouts.

But with all your grilled meats, salads would match better.
