Be - Common (dopest cello i've ever heard)

YES... is that a cello though? always thought it was a bass.

agree with whoever said new order's ceremony

i'd put temptation up there too

new order always has great intros. gang of four too.

Almost anything by the Neptunes... sometimes the intro is better than the rest of the song!

Michael Jackson - Rock with You

Montell Jordan - This Is How We Do It

Nice...even though it may be cliche at this point, "Sweet Child of Mine" by G'n'R would also make my list. Classic opener.

this rocks. +rep for mentioning it !!!

guns destroy all notions of cliche and corny

most of their catalog should be on this list

especially 'right next door to hell'

and 'you're crazy'

and 'mr. brownstone'

and 'get in the ring'

and so on

speaking of the stones

it is overplayed at every frat bar, redneck bar, chain restaurant bar, and assorted other temples of corny suckiness anywhere ever

but the intro to 'honky tonk women' still fucking kills me every time

and i don't know if you're kidding with the stevie nicks, or post-post-ironic, or what...
