problem with that is the white band and the waistcoats length, makes her hips look wide.

if waistcoat was MUCH longer it woould be flattering, but it hangs wrong on her tummy.

I don't think the waistcoat makes her hips looks wide in the slightest.

I think he was referring to the silhouette the waistcoat and jeans alone make, maybe..? took a while to realize though, so in my opinion it doesn't really look like that and theres always question about how something looks like in a picture as opposed to reality.
