I own Addicts, First String 70's and general release 70's and I like my Addicts most, though it's probably all in my head. 70's have cushier insoles but I prefer the heavier canvas uppers on my Addicts. They fit slightly narrower than 70's.

How do the non-Addict "Made in Japan" Converse compare with the regularly available Converse in the States?

They don't have Vibram soles, but do they use premium canvas uppers?

converse-first-string-terry-pack-2.jpg

Got these a while ago but they are more of an oatmeal colour than pictured above, having a hard time trying to incorporate it into an outfit because it clashes with any other tone of white I wear + my wardrobe is tiny and consists of only blacks and whites

Maybe I will beat them to hell so they become beige / grey so there's a more distinct difference between it and my other "pure" white pieces

Sounds like you could use some colour in your wardrobe.

I have these too and the midsoles at least definitely get dirty fast. Not sure about the terry yet, but I'm sure that does get dirty too just not as fast. I try to keep mine relatively clean tho since I like the near-white look to them.

Question..

I can get my hands on a pair of MMM chucks..

As it was meant to have the paint flake of, i got wondering..

Don't the flakes  get on your clothes ?? And do the leave stains ??

Would like to pick up a pair of the 1970 hightop cons. How do the sizing compare to Nikes (flyknits/frees in particular)? Thanks in advance

Go down a half size from your normal shoe size, like you would with any Chuck Taylors (assuming you've owned a pair before).
