so Levi passed away left the biz to his nephews and nieces, and currently the chairman and CEO of levi strauss and co is Robert D. Haas. Any idea the relation of Robert Hass to Levi? as in maybe a family tree?

I can't remember exaclty right now, but I'm pretty sure Bob Haas relatioship to levis is either through a daughter/wife's/sister's side of Levi, can't recall right now...

I believe Robert Haas was the CEO up until 1981 and was the last CEO to be a member of the family. Robert Grohman became CEO in 1981 and Philip Marineau took over in 1999. So we can blame Robert Grohman for the demise of real 501's.
