Wait.. are we asking about cheap things in Vegas on Superfuture?

:)

Cheap and Vegas shouldn't be in the same sentence.. and neither should Cheap and Superfuture.

Sorry.. everytime i go to Vegas i end up spending a fortune on food, drinks, DH, underwear, etc..

Some of the best restaurants in the world now are found in Vegas, they're nowhere near cheap though. quite the opposite actually.. but well worth it.

I know I'm gonna spend lots of money in some places, so I'll have to save money in others! ^_~

And I know what you mean about those restaurants.:D

i forgot which of the 2 outlets is south of the strip closer to the airport, but skip that outlet as there isnt anything worth looking at there. its basically a waste of time. the outlets north of the strip are better outlets if your planning on going outlet shopping.

I was just there last summer for my first time and it was great. You need to go to the Paris hotel, Hard Rock, Caesars, and just about every other one. It is a lot of walking though. I mean, yes the places are really close together but once you start walking all the hotels it can be tiring. Oh, I forgot to add the Palms which is for the younger crowd.

You also need to check out the old strip which is a little bit from the new strip. It has the legendary Fremont street with a great light show. In addition, if you want to talk a little journey not too far away, you should go to Red Rock Canyon. It is a great view of Las Vegas and a great park.

Have fun!!

well you won't make it, but First Fridays are always good. there are art galleries etc. that go on. also, the bars/lounges downtown (aka Fremont) are always packed (even when it isn't First Friday). at least, that's where most of the locals hang. Brass Lounge is pretty good, so is the Griffen which is down the street. the Beauty Bar is next to the Griffen, and Downtown (the bar) is a little brick building on the corner off of the Griffen. also downtown, there's the Triple 7 Brewery. my best friend is a barback there- their beer is pretty good. there are the obvious clubs on the Strip like Pure, Light, the Bank, Tangerine, Revolution (which i have been meaning to go to. it's Beatles themed). i'm not much into the club scene though. Krave is a gay club, just so you know if anyone invites you there so you aren't caught off guard. off the strip is Cherry which is at the Red Rock Resort which is a fine little place imo. they have a great pool. so does Mandalay Bay. it's just a ways off from the city. for dining there's a good Italian one called Bautista's Hole in the Wall which was the first one here. very famous, and very good. if i remember correctly, wine is always served with their food. Chinois at Caesar's is also very good- it's French/Chinese fusion (a Wolfgang Puck restaurant). i heard Alize at the Palms is pretty good too. def. not cheap though.

as noted, Red Rock is on the western outskirts, and you can go hiking if you'd like. there is always Mt. Charleston which is about an hour west as well, and you can rent a cabin or just eat at the lodge.

as for shopping, Barneys has been open since January and is at the Palazzo which is "catty corner" from the Fashion Show Mall. Planet Hollywood formerly known as the Aladdin has a mall as well which is ok, i mainly go there for the 3 story Urban Outfitters and Ben Sherman. there are the Forum Shops at Caesar's Palace which has a lot of "high-end" shopping there. you also run into celebs. there too (Elton John in Etro for example!). the Wynn has a Chanel and i think a Louis V. i find the Wynn kind of boring, but Bellagio has a Tiffany's and Hermes from what i remember. Mandalay Bay has another Urban Outfitters and has Suite 160, which is a decent shop for kicks (Nike's mainly). of the strip there's Undefeated on Paradise across the street from the Hard Rock Hotel. they have Visvims etc. if you're into that thing. the Premium Outlet Mall is downtown, and has def. gotten vamped up. there's also one down past the Strip down south but it's kind of boring. Also down south is our newest place called Town Square and they have a movie theater there as well. and the Yardhouse (read: BEER.).

jesus christ, if you have any other questions let me know.

Eat a steak at Cut.

Eat the Beef Carpaccio at Olives.

Eat the Crab Sandwich at Tableau. (lunch only)

If you don't do those three things, you didn't go to Vegas.

I've been to Vegas 24 times in the past 9 years, and i still like visiting only to drink and eat myself silly. I think i spend more money on food now than i do gambling and liquor, which i didn't think was possible..

I'll be in Vegas Mon-Thurs with the wife and baby and was hoping to find somewhere interesting for dinner. Been to most of the casino restaurants already and some of the better steakhouses, but kind of hoping for something more fun. Some Medival Times type of spot. Ideas? Something creative so the wife will think I try from time to time.

There is this Caribbean place that has awesome onion rings off of the strip. I think it might be called Caribbean Breeze or something along those lines.

Bahama Breeze is the name. It's on Flamingo road and Paradise.

If you're into Thai food check out Lotus of Siam on Sahara. Probably the best Thai food you'll ever have outside of Thailand.

Burger Bar in Mandalay Place is good for a gourmet burger.

I lived in Las Vegas for 4 years, and my favorite sushi place by far was Sushi Ave. on Flamingo at the 215. It's really far from the strip, but it's one of the best sushi places in town in terms of fish freshness and quality. I'm comparing it to Nobu, Raw, Yellowtail, any of the 'high end' sushi restaurants in Las Vegas. The chefs there also make the experience fun. They also have teppanyaki tables there.

Maybe not exactly what you had in mind, but I don't think you'd be disappointed in any of the above places.
