Greetings all.

My first post.

I am spending three days in Las Vegas - Dec 21-23.

Anything to do there which should be done per your advice?

shopping, shows, eateries, anything welcome.

ps: i am not a Las Vegas type, my last trip was a week in Tokyo.

Please help me make the most of this trip.

thanks!

Jenny

Totally depends on what you're into but there is something for everyone.

It's easy to spend several days in Vegas without participating in any gambling antics.

It can be cheesy but that's what Vegas was built on (not sand but cheese...)

- Go to one of the Cirque du Soleil shows like 'O'

- Check out some of the decor at The Venetian, Paris and Luxor hotels. I don't like the Bellagio much but it's popular for a gawk

- Day tours to The Grand Canyon (w helicopter ride in the canyon if you like)

- Check the gig listings, there might be some cool band passing through

- In the more expensive hotels there are plenty of good restaurants

- Check out some of the small wedding chapels (entries in your hotel yelow pages)

- Vegas is mostly about people-watching. Every brand of freak is there to gawk at. Be sure to go to the cheapest looking casino you can find and check out the limping toothless trailer trash with their mullets and wife-beater singlets. You might see someone famous - from an episode of COPs

Hi all,

Iam a new comer here as a poster but I have been reading this website for years....

I have made some researchs but I did not find anything big about Las Vegas.

I know about different shows, casinos, strip clubs... but what can you please tell me not to miss ? As for shipping Fruition, Udft, Dior (Iam French so no need to go there) I saw chromehearts... what else ?

And what attractions should I go easy to enter and fun ?

At last could you please update what is the best way to go to L.A when Iam in Vegas ? Rent a car ? Take a plane ? Is it expensive...

If someone from these areas can share some knowledge or people who have visited there !

Thx for all !

:D

An average airfare from Vegas to LA is around $200 roundtrip, after tax. If you rent a car, you are looking at about $150 or so for two days, plus gas, and the 4-hour each way trip. Depends on how many people are going with you. If it is several, then I would rent an SUV as opposed to flying of course; plus you will NEED a car in LA. You can take the Greyhound bus for about $75 round trip, but the station in LA is fucking ghetto and in the middle of nowhere dowtown, so you will spend a ton on taxis and will need to rent a car as well anyway.

Shopping in Vegas is OK. No spots that are a "must" in my opinion. Just walk around Caesar's Palace enormous Forum shopping center, as well as the Venetian's and the Alladin's centers as well. Then, just spend your time walking up and down the strip hotel-hopping and getting drunk. If you like, there is a Truefitt & Hill (from the UK) barber shop in Caesar's Palace, and you can get a real straight razor shave......that's fun.

Also, you said you "know" about strip clubs, but just to be sure, DON'T MISS THE SPEARMINT RHINO. This place is goddamn amazing (although the one in LA sucks). It is the size of a football field and any night, on average, has over 100 girls working.....and unbelievably hot ones at that (a few mingers are certain though, of course). Have fun........

If you are into clubbing, lines in Vegas blow balls. To check out the hopping places, get there as early as possible, get a table and enjoy. If you go to any of the following "hot" places any time after 10 pm, expect to wait a good two hours in line and then pay $30 to get in: Ghost Bar, Rum Jungle, Pure at Caesar's Palace, Hard Rock Cafe's Body English, etc.

In terms of attractions, Casinos are the attractions. Just spend time in a few each day. The each have unique bars / games / attractions. For instance, New York New York has a roller coaster, the MGM has some tigers and shit in a little zoo, the Luxor has cool decor and insane architecture. Seriously, just walk around. Places not to miss are: Venetian, Caesar's Palace, Bellagio........ But most casinos are great. If you want to gamble your ass off, stick to cheaper casinos like Barbary Coast, etc. as they have alot faster free drink service, tables with lower minimums and lots of drunk/addicted/poor gamblers that you can beat.

When in Vegas...

Bellagio Buffet: drink iced tea..

Any cracking club: slip the bouncer a $20 fuck the line!

shopping: like england said the caeser's forum is pretty much the spot. a few outlets right outside you might not wanna miss also.. fruiton is overated imo, its pretty much the pasadena flea market but highly edited and hyped. the new Undftd will have a solid kick selection no doubt but the atmosphere of it is not really on point (its in a cvs shopping center next to a nail salon!).

But when im in vegas i try not to shop so much.

Unwind.. Get ripped.. Get laid..

You have to go to the Wynn Buffet. Period. The food is brilliant. In my opinion it is the best buffet in Las Vegas not just because the food is 1000x's better than Bellagio and Ceasars, but the service is amazing. All in all its fucking DANK!

I just stayed 3 month in Vegas... You can't go wrong with the Spearmint Rhino, but you should also try Seamless - It's half nightclub/Stripjoint....The girls are not as agressive as on the rhino....

Instead of buying a lapdance from a girl, you should just offer a girl aka. a stripper a drink. You will get the same value! - Get you hands busy! - And maybe if you are lucky you can hook up with da girl later on... I did!:P - Dress up and be a gentleman - they are not use 2 that! - They are used 2 old freaks with alot of money!

Good luck!

Ryan i highly recommend FIREFLY. It is a local resturaunt in a lounge style. There is a live DJ that spins mellow hip hop type jazzy stuff (mushroom jazz usually) during weekend nights. They also got DJ's weedday nights. It is filled with mostly locals and is very low key. the food is in a tapas style and is FUCKING INSANELY GOOD! Definitly a locals place.

The people there are pretty superfuture looking. I went there with my girlfriend and her sister who works at one of the Hotels on the strip. We met up with their friends who are all dancers, drink servers and showgirls. Its a place where a lot of showgirls ussually go out to on a girls night out or for late dinners. the place is fucking poppin'. call for resrvations or wait on the list for a good hour. This place is a must visit when in vegas. Great to go with a small or even large group.

I'm heading to Las Vegas next week, and I did lots of research to find cheap shopping. However, I need some help.

Has anybody been to the Fashion Outlets of Las Vegas or Las Vegas Premium Outlets?

They have Versace, Dolce & Gabbana, Neiman Marcus, and other factory stores in between the two outlets, but are they like Calvin Klein where sales only occur in your dreams or are they like Sak's Off 5th where clearanced items are 75 percent off? And I'm not a logo obsessed person, I'm just curious. ^_~

And has anybody been to the Marc Jacobs store on Las Vegas BLVD? I thought it was only a Marc Jacobs Collection store, but on the website, there is a $20 Marc by Marc Jacobs tee, and I was hoping there was more Marc by Marc Jacobs.

Is Dior Homme marking down Hedi clothing at all?

Thanks to anybody who understands what I'm asking.
