cheap selvage

for you frugal denim afficionados, if you don't know already, the uk based retailer, uniqlo, is opening 2 stores stateside in the near future. both are in nj...for all i know, they have already opened and i'm late w/ the announcement. just thought i'd pass on some info to those of you who are on a budget/newbies wanting to explore the world of selvage denim. their selvage is of fantastic quality considering the price (about us$60).

yeah, my bad...i've only been to there london locations. i'm not quite sure where, but a manager in one of their stores told me a few months ago that they would be just outside of nyc.

Yeah I read an article on that. They want to target the strip mall type areas. On a side note there fleece products are also quite nice for the price.

I've got a sweet Uniqlo backpack that I got in Nagoya, Japan. I also bought like 5 fleeces for next to nothing in Japan but I didn't bring them back. Somehow I don't think it will be the same in America....

weiyung....most, if not all of the yen jeans (especially red label) on ebay are fake!

be careful with ebay and yen jeans, real orange label stuff comes and goes, but 99.9% of the red label stuff is fake!

yea, i know some yen jeans are fake, but even the real yen's that are sold on ebay, ~100 is a good starter for selvage.

sugar lee, in long beach, CA has selvage denim for ~100, they are levi repro's

Just find a friend in the UK or Japan, have them ship to you, it'll be only like $60.

Last time I checked they were 19.99 sterling. maybe $37. I think there's a discount if you buy two pairs. I fancy buying a pair for painting around the house and odd jobs. I think they're all pretty long - 36 inch leg only. I'll got into town today and check. If you want a pair email me; first offer only, I guess only to people who have a long history on this board.
