Ok whats the deal with Woolrich. I see a ton of cool stuff in Japanese and Euro stores but when I check the US website they are nowhere to be found. Here are some examples:

Do they have a Red Wing type thing going on where the good stuff is only offered to Japanese/Euro markets. Is foreign Woolrich a seperate entity? Can someone shed some light on this?

The Woolrich European line designed by Daiki Suzuki is set to launch in North America in 2008, I imagine after a rebranding of the line here.

Re. The Tielocken jacket, it's been done better by Yoko Devereaux for their FW 03 (?) season. The black cashmere version was really, really nice. Unfortunately, that line has not really lived up to it's promise...

I've already looked. -_- i spent like 4 hours on that site. I couldn't figure out how to look at the catalogue until I misclicked. Apparently you have to flip the pages of the catalogue with your mouse. And still no hoody!!#$@!@#

still no n. american stockists though

I think what you meant was still no american stockists. I'm not quite sure tho. But if so, yeah that's true. I wonder if it would be possible to obtain the hoody online.

their best stuff is the workwear from the 1950s-1960s, which is well flooded on ebay in vintage form. ive gotten a lot of stuff that they've simply reissued for other markets on ebay. also, in new england (esp north of mass) every thrift store has the best woolrich gear tagged for like $10.

The only American stockist I know of so far is Bergdorf Goodman in NYC, according to the men.style.com Fall buyers guide (http://men.style.com/fashion/style_notes/072707, click through to Bergdorf). They posted the following piece:

Can't say if they will have the hoodie.

On another note, they have been distributing in Europe and Japan only to this point, and they will be distributing more widely in North America in 2008 (per LA Guy above), with Gary Drinkwater's (www.drinkwaterscambridge.com) as a likely stockist on top of BG.
