Those fit really great. A lot of folks have already talked about how weird their cuts have historically been in terms of oversized waists, but the one thing that’s always bothered me the most about them is how low the rear pockets sit, and these seem like a definite move in the right direction on that front

The patterns are weird with Stevenson. The fabric and the designs are awesome, but I've had several items with really strange proportions, e.g., super wide but super short short sleeve shirt, sweater with super long sleeves, etc.

i picked up the encinitas last week. i fit the size 29 pretty easily, but opted to size up to 30 since i’m unfamiliar with how stevenson denim shrinks over it’s lifecycle. overall i’m really happy with the fit, and the denim itself has nice character. i’m currently moving so they’re getting the sweaty and dirty break-in treatment.

That’s a really great fit and looks like it worked out well to size up. Stevensons break in pretty quickly in my experience, I bet they’ll be settled nicely soon. Hope the move goes well!

It looks good. I sized up as well. I find that this denim doesnt have the same kind of shrink as the previous denim they used to use which shrank a bit over several washes but I'm glad I sized up still.

Anyone know why Stevenson changed the denim on all of their jeans to 13oz? I recall that the 727, 737, 747 used to be 14oz and now the website says everything is 13 oz.

The Carmel and Big Sur are still made of 14oz denim, the newer Encinitas is made of 13oz denim.  You can see all the weights here:

FYI, the weights on some jeans on the SOC site are incorrect.

So is the 727, 737, etc… still 14oz then? Curious which ones are incorrect

Haven’t posted in a bit on this thread. Rocking some Stevenson Overall salt and pepper trousers I picked up recently from the Community Sale thread. Amazing fabric, sewing, details, fit. Gonna be wearing these a lot on days I feel like wearing not-jeans!

Cross-post from WAYWT. I've always thought Stevenson jeans looked really cool but I feel like their sewing and design details really lend themselves well to pants like these. I feel this is one of the best-fitting pairs of pants I've worn, of any type. The waist is maybe an inch or so loose, but nothing a belt can't fix.
