First time posting in the Evo thread - and I think the first IA's in the thread as well:

102 wears at the time the pics were taken, taken right after a first hot soak

The color's a little bit darker than in these pics. But you can see how much they've lightened up compared to the darkness of the lower-legs!

Now we'll see what the Brasilian sun (& sweat) does to these. That is, if the sun EVER comes out in Rio again.... (middle of the summer here and it's about 21 or 22 celsius and raining off and on every day).

diamonds Ande Whall Grifters V2

I'm having trouble taking decent pics... but this is 5 months, before first wash:

After wash:

increased brightness/contrast because the photo was too dark... that's about how they look though

mcflip Studio D'Artisan SD-103

Here are my SD103s from pg 83, although I thought I posted another picture of them after that.... I don't have the patience to go through and track down that post right now. I've had these since March.

I couldn't believe how much the contrast on these has been jacked since my last washing. Here they are in sunlight, photos pretty much untouched

1-23-07-front-sunlight.jpg

1-23-07-back-sunlight.jpg

and here they are pictured like my last batches:

1-23-07-front.jpg

1-23-07-back.jpg

when adjusting the levels, I tried to keep the color/contrast as close to how they look IRL. The honeycombs look pretty ridiculous right now if I'm allowed to say that. The lap picture is probably the closest to how these look.

These things have outlived 2 relationships, numerous deaths in the family and the dissolution of my parents' marriage and their subsequent messy divorce. Good times.

exyoung GAP Morrison

I bought my pair of Morrisons the day after Christmas for $20. I've thrashed them up pretty good from hiking and whatnot. They tend to bleed really easy.

As promised in my earlier post (see above), here are the pics....

First, my Morrisons after getting pretty thrashed up hiking/climbing. Destroying these jeans the way I did doesn't bother me with the $20 price tag..

circanineteen85 Justin Original J201

So here are my Justin Original's that I bought last june and have been wearing every day since july 7th, except for the week I went home for thanksgiving because they had jsut gotten covered in mud at work and I thought it would be disrespectful to my mother to wear them for a family gathering. I starched them occasionally when they started losing stiffness, first using a can of niagra but later moving on to undiluted Sta-flo in a spraybottle. I soaked them in hot water when I first got them, then again at 4 months. I just machine washed them last night in hot water with Dr. Bronners peppermint. I wish I would have hand washed them now since i've developed some blowouts in my honeycombs from the denim being so stiff for so long.

TPR950H Levi's 577

I picked up these jeans from a 2nd hand store, raw. I think these are from 2003 before I knew of this site and I was doing everything as I saw fit- thus no soak, I even hemmed them (bad mistake.) Anyways, here they are. I believe they were tailored/tapered before I bought them, but it was a BANG UP job: Levi's 577, 29x33:

SpillSuppressor Samurai S5000VX

I took some pictures since it seems like these are starting to fade more. No flash on either one but the color is pretty much the average between the two of them. They're something around 4 months, soaked once when new.

jeans.jpg

update

I found that the crotch of these 5 month old S5000VX looked like it was starting to blow out, so I cant wear them any longer the way they are. I figured I would soak them today so I can repair them without any more shrinkage etc. Since the sun is out I took some pictures too. I'm planning on using the darning repair method explained on the 45rpm site. Have any of you guys had experience with this problem? Do you think that that method will be enough to stop the hole or do I need to do something else? (I've included an outside and inside view of the wear) I really don't want these things to blow out...

jeans_5mo.jpg

Also, they're still soaking, but it looks like the right leg is twisting more than it was before. Are all my wear marks going to be totally out of place or do you think they'll still hold up?

update

I remember when people were getting yelled at for posting APC and Nudie all the time...I hope you guys aren't sick of looking at Samurai.

s5000vx

left: brand new pre-soak

right: soaked hot new, again at 5months, just washed for the first time at 8months

jeans8m.jpg

update

Since I just soaked a pair of new jeans, I figured I would wash these ones while I was at it.

S5000VX second wash at about 10 months.

jeans10mPostwash.jpg

update

One year and I think about 3 washes. Sadly, I think it's time to transition over to the Eternal 872s now for daily wear so I don't blow out the Samurais. I can't wait for for the 21oz to come out.

update

These are my Jean Shops. I just gave them their first wash in a sink with cold water and Dr Bronners after 5.5 months. I thought they could go a little longer before the first wash, but I guess I got anxious. They are dyed very well, so I think they look great and will look even better in six more months.
