I'm planning on upgrading my DSLR from my current Rebel XT. I'm stuck between the Canon 30D and 40D. Is the 40D really worth the extra money?

Get the Nikkor 18-200VR f3,5-f5,6 lens, you won't regret it, it's the perfect start lens because it's very allround.

You can buy some more specialized lenses later.

I was wondering, how do you people organise your backups of raw images? I make lots of photos for school projects, wich I print, but keep a copy of the raw images on dvd's. My system doesn't work at all (a box filled with blank dvd's). It took me like 3 hours to find the pictures I needed.
