SUPERDENIM SMALL QUESTIONS THREAD (Use instead of making new threads)

Recommended Posts

@mpukas Thanks for the input! It’s funny cause my least favorite part of this MF jacket and the reason I haven’t purchased it yet is definitely the right handed zipper; I’m so used to the left handed one and it’s just so awkward for me if it’s not on that side. It is only a single zipper for this jacket though, so that’s good. And as I don’t really store anything in the pockets, I don’t mind even if they’re on the smaller side. Agreed about JP makers and small/shallow pockets; I’ve not worn my Evisu jeans nearly as much as I’d like to for that very reason.

What I've found hard to find are boot trees...

Woodlore made these, but they've been out of stock for a while. Red Wing boots also has similar style, but they are pricey.  I just use normal shoe trees from woodlore (or allen edmonds or nordstrom) for my boots.

Valmour in Europe makes a very nice looking one but I cannot find it anywhere in stock: https://saphir.com/product/boot-shoe-trees/

Edit: Of course just as I type that I find a dealer in Europe with a US outlet. Still, not cheap: https://www.shoecare-shop.com/row/saphir-medaille-d-or-boot-trees.html

Ok @adii as no one has answered, the now defunked rugby line of Ralph Lauren has really long sleeves. I’ve got a few flannels from that line. They’re good quality and if you search ebay you’ll find some.

Five Brother MiUSA also have pretty long sleeves & often go on sale for sub-$100

How do I go about purchasing a pair of para boots in the US without paying markup? Any good dealers that ship internationally?

Does anybody have experience selling stuff with Marrkt? I sent a couple of things, but communication is a bit tough.

They are pretty good but are really busy so there is a delay in comm and getting items up online.

He only bad thing with Markkt is the cut they take, but that's the price you pay for them doing all the work!

Should be able to get one of these on Rakuten

edit: spotted this if you’re a 38. You’d need to proxy http://item-jkstyle.shop-pro.jp/?pid=141387587

Thanks! The measurements for the deluxe one look really good for me. Also, junky’s site says the lee archive piece is non wash; how much do you think it would shrink?

I’m sorry I don’t have experience of mij Lee other than Edwin-made. As a rule the next size down is a good indicator, but I’d check in with the shop before pulling the trigger.

I'm still here! I still read through some of the threads and like posts and such. I just unfortunately don't have much to contribute right now. Once I get my new CSFs, I will be posting those.

Cheers mate, that's what I thought. Agreed on the overall simplicity...

I sent mostly non-SuFu-worthy stuff (Norse Projects, Folk) in December already, but will check the dedicated thread in the future!

I want to buy my boyfriend some black jeans and he is not only tall but also long-limbed.  So...black warp/black weft jeans with some fade potential that will be 38" or longer in the inseam after washing.....does it exist?

I see Levi's shrink to fit has a 40" inseam "in theory" but I don't see it in his size and I'm not sure if this fabric has fade potential. Also not sure how much they will shrink.

I see custom jeans from Williamsburg Garment Company with 40 inch inseams for $400+ ...ok maybe someday ...

@machine-language have you tried SoSo denim? They make the jeans to your specification. I don’t have any of their jeans but I do have a couple of their shirts and the quality is great.

https://sosoclothing.se/product/japanese-kaihara-black-x-black/

you can get a good discount as a first time customer, just be sure to check their sizing as it varies from cut to cut.
