Evisu Genes Sizing

hi peeps! im plannig to get a pair of evisu genes.. anyway this willbe my first evisu purchase .. i need to know how they size their jeans im wearing a size 32 inch for true religion jeans( they write their sizes a size smaller ont he label) and im wearing size 34 inch on zara jeans.. so guys pls help!

Hello Edmond. There are numerous posts on Evisu sizing, so all you need to do is use the search function. But in a nutshell, Number 0 and 1 is shrink to fit, so size up 2x. Number 2 and 3 are sanforized, so get your actual waist. Not sure about licencsees.

Sorry for the large jpg. I scanned this from the 2003 Evisu style book, to give you an idea of the different fits and cuts. I think that the 2001 and 2002 are the baggiest fits. The 2000 and 2005 are slim leg fits.

its funny how the 2000 and 2005 look gigantic in those pics. cool scan though, whats the difference in the 2 2000 cuts (very right side). Thats quite a price difference, is the top right....nevermind, just read that it said silk!

Im not really sure about that. I'm a size 34 in everything. Including Evisu No1... I'd say go with your normal size.

does that say silk? The big 2000 is unsanforized No. 1 denim, thats probably why it looks so much larger than the No. 2 denim.

Actually, you might be right. I think they size up from label size when it comes to the STF. Although every Evisu pair I got reacted differently. I had a No.1 Special that said size 40 but shrank down to a 37.5 with a cold soak.

i usually wear 32" waist jeans and the evisu 2000 no1 i bought labeled 33" fit very tight even before the first soak =X

What about euro special 0131 ? How is the fit regular ? shrinks but does it stretch as well ?

ooh sorry, didn't see this but figured you might still be curious. before soaking the waist was tight. afterwards it was a little bit tighter.

overall fit...soaking didn't seem to do anything to the thighs pillowing out.

Damn that was like almost a decade ago. I was talking Evisu even then… I still have that scan somewhere… the memories. Ed, maybe a pic of those jeans with all the sneakers you used to have.
