kiya 1,079,288 Posted September 7, 2018 Introducing Fine Creek Leathers - A Horsehide Only Line from Tokyo We are excited to introduce Tokyo's Fine Creek Leathers, available for the first time in North America. Fine Creek makes some of the most beautiful horsehide jackets we've seen. Using a vegetable tanned Japanese horsehide, which ages in a fairly fast manner, they cut and sew these jackets in their own little studio in Tokyo. The quality of stitching is as good as it gets for a leather jacket, and we've not seen many jackets age as well as these do. Depending on the panel they'll use a different type of stitch thread and thread count to achieve puckering in certain areas for added character. With the first release we have Fine Creek Leathers' take on the classic Type II jacket. The way the front chest pleats pull and pucker with wear is truly a sight to behold. This comes in as a classic fit with just a hair of length added to the body. Please check the product page on our site for a full spec list of information on the jacket's materials. In three weeks we'll also have the Leon Custom which is a double-riders style jacket! Shop Fine Creek Leathers Online

itsbenhere 2,670 Posted September 8, 2018 Hey Kiya, How does the denim on the BSP-AIs differ from Flat Head's old 3005-A, if at all?

It's similar denim, but not exactly the same as the 3005-A denim ran out and they had to do another run of the denim so they would have enough to make our run of jeans. They've told me that the shade on the BSP-AI jean come out darker than what they used on the 3005-A, so the only difference seems to be a slight shade darker on the new jeans.
givemefive 6,322 Posted September 10, 2018 Hi Kiya / SE I see a lot of stuff on your warehouse sale I'm interested in. What is the sizing advice you have on the John Lofgren Self Edge sneakers? I am a 10.5 in chuck taylor, 11 in shoes like pottery and 11b in dress shoes like alden barrie last. (narrow foot) Is 11 the right size? The sizing advice on the web page is not making a lot of sense to me as I'm a true 12.5 in Nike and New Balance.. What about the monitaly diagonal zipper jacket? I thought it would be gone by now at 130.. Is it just too puffy?

So about half to a full size big compared to American brands. It sounds like you'd be a size 10.5 or 11 in all the Lofgren sneakers, I think the 11 would be the safe bet. I think the diagonal taped zippers on the front of that Monitaly jacket scares people, otherwise it's a great fit and not oddly puffy.

kiya 1,079,288 Posted September 26, 2018 Flat Head Chromexcel Engineer Boots, Shell Cordovan Wallets, & 3005 Jeans Flat Head's long awaited engineer boots are here. These are made in small batches by a small shop which generally only produces boots for Flat Head's line of footwear. Made of a natural pull-up Chromexcel leather, the amount of natural oil in this leather is unreal due to the aniline "dying" process the leather goes through. This run was custom made for Flat Head so that the boot will show a little extra wear from even occasional wear. These will look wild once broken in. These come complete with custom made brass and iron buckles, Vibram's #700 and #705 heel and sole, a hand stitched shaft seam, and a Japanese made steel shank for sole stability. We've also received Flat Head’s new small shell cordovan wallets. Made of a shell cordovan from Japan’s famed Shinki Tannery; these are pigskin lined and fully hand sewn in-house at Flat Head’s own leather workshop in Nagano, Japan. Available now in dark tan or black. Lastly we finally have a restock of the 3005 model jean made of Flat Head's famed 3xxx denim. These are available exclusively at SELA and via our online store. mlwdp 1,191 Posted September 27, 2018 (edited) Hey Kiya, I bought the Lady White Co Oarsman shirt from your warehouse sale a year ago and love it. The wide neck really fits well on me. What would you suggest doing in keeping them white when washing? I'm seeing the dreaded yellow stains in the armpits area. I have the worst luck in keeping white tshirts white. If you're getting stains in the pits your only option is to bleach the shirt, which may not always work depending on how yellowed the fabric has become. Bleach it in warm water and the stains should come out.

Couple bucks for a bar, it's the best stain lifter I've ever used. Wet the bar and stain, rub on the stain then wash the garment.

The best way to avoid those yellow stains is to switch to a deodorant without aluminum.

kiya 1,079,288 Posted October 4, 2018 Iron Heart 633s-RE Recycled Fiber Jeans & Lots of Jean Restocks This week we have the 633 straight tapered cut from Iron Heart in their newest denim style. This is a 14.7oz sanforized denim made of a blend of recycled cotton fibers. Due to the unique fiber content the yarns have absorbed the indigo dye in such a way where the final product is an extremely dark blue denim. We think this will lead to some really wild looking worn in pairs. Along with this new jean we've received fresh runs of the 301 fit in both 21oz and 14oz versions along with the 8301 slim tapered double-black jean (which fades to gray over time). All these jeans are available now online and at our stores. Shop Iron Heart Online
