They run 1.5" smaller in the waist than the rest of the Flat Head line-up.

call me crazy sidney, but i'm just gonna go true to size because my 1001's were true to size and they're huuuuuuge on me now. (looks like the model picture of the 380's on selfedge.com... hahaha). so, if i ended up buying another 3001 cut, i'd go for a 30 and since i want a pretty slim cut, i think i'll go for a 31 in the SE05BSP (that is, until i see the full measurements on the site).

hmmmm, size up 2 from our normal FH size and the thigh measurement of sz 30 is already 11.5 presoak?

So i'd wear a 31/32 normally, sizing up 2 from that would be 33/34 and if sz 30 has 11.5" thigh, that would put sz 33/34 at around 12.5" which seems rather large for a "slim" jean.

Nah, you can be a man and wear true to size. It's just when you reach the smaller spectrum (as well as the larger spectrum) of the jean sizing…it gets a bit more extreme. Size 28 feels crazy tight. I usually wear 29.

So will these stretch a lot or is it not known yet? and if I wear a size 28 in Imperial Dukes, should I get these in a 29? and should I soak these before wearing?

Last question, Do you think if I got the President and VP of Flathead to sign the inside pocket, it would come off in the wash?

You can have him sign the pocket with a Sharpie, it'll stay...

I'd go up one or two sizes from your Imperial size.. You can try them on and decide for yourself in-store on sunday..

Is the FH 3005 fairly similar in cut to IH634? How much does the extra weight effect the cut?

I'm quite positive they won't sell out in-store, so there should be every size left.. hopefully.

The F380 is far closer in cut to the 634s. The 3005 is a more relaxed version..

We're happy to announce that the men behind The Flat Head are coming to Self Edge from Nagano, Japan this Sunday for a party and product release.

The president and vice president of Flat Head are both coming from Japan along with the editor-in-chief of Lightning Magazine on Sunday, September 7th.
