Winter coats?!

I don't know where you all from but since you mentioned Dunderdon somewhere far back in the text I might as well have some suggestions.

The Swedish winter ought to be similar to the one you are experiencing if you live in NYC. We have two brands that are really upcoming that sure have some nice stuff.

REALLY small quantities available though. Since Sweden is such a small market the production quantities are close to ridiculus.. like 10pcs of a leather jacket for example(!)

However I don't know if they ship further away than Europe but you never know..

Anyways, the blue coat is from Our Legacy and the black leather jacket is from Dirigo fashion.

Where to cop these Spiewak N3Bs in the US?

I can't find much from online retailers in the US. Anyone ever try contacting Spiewak's uniform sales side for items? I'm thinking this is pretty close match to that model on Hinoya.

Never contacted Spiewak but here's the N3B in storm gray:

Zappos will most likely restock them at full price soon.

That first one is made from their tin cloth fabric and it's incredibly stiff when you first get it. It takes a while to break in, and IMO it's more suitable for layering on top of other things like a shell.

I've got some of the tin pants. Good stuff. I'm leaning towards the first for the reasons you mentioned. I bicycle all winter, so layering is pretty important.
