i tried on the JCrew peacoat. mind you, im a size M-L in most clothes and i tried on the sz S at Jcrew and it was too big on me.

I'm going to sell my vintage US Navy Peacoat soon.

I'm not sure when it's from exactly. I think it's from the 50's. Definitely post WWII.

It's made of Kersey wool, not melton wool like today's issues, so it's warmer.

I'm usually a M in JCrew shirts and sweaters and the M University Coat fits me pretty well. It's a little on the big side, but a S would have been too small. Hope that helps.

heh. seems like everybody has that peacoat. i do too. i wear a small. it fits me like a glove. about the only thing that ever did.
