1. Why are the buttons so close together

2. not sure if i like the length but it's definitely the best fitting. like black.shadow said though, those buttons are whack.

I agree with black.shadow about 3&4, they both look illfitting, way to big through the body. the buttons look terrible and are too close together.

Is this ralph lauren peacoat a good buy at $200?

Would they have it in stores to try on? I want something a bit more slim fitting if possible and not boxy. The picture seams slim enough but its always different in person.

Im 5'6 135, not sure if the medium would fit me, anyone who has one care to comment?

Thanks

cross posted from small questions thread:

I need help from you seasoned NYC people. I just got this jacket in the mail today and it feels really thin. I emailed Sam at context clothing and he said the jacket would be plenty warm in 20-30 degree weather. The shell is 100% polyester and it has a 90% wool lining. Should this be sufficient for when I go back to NY in January?

For extremely low temperatures, wool can only help so much. The nice thing about that jacket is that it has a shell which retains heat and wool inside which maintains heat as well. Since I don't own the jacket I cannot tell, but chances are it will not be warm enough. You probably need something down lined (creates air gaps with feathers and heats space) or something with a thicker liner.

Looking for a warm (relatively, for around 40 degree F) toggle jacket/coat for under $200. Recommendations? I'll check out H&M in a few days, but would possibly like something to last more than just one winter. Willing to spend another hundred or two for something good. Saw the pic of MJK's sample toggle coat (that's $300), would like some other ideas.

Oh, and I'm kinda short (5'7"), so nothing super long, please.

Yea, I might just go with this Obey one instead. Its not much different but the pocket detail and the cuffs make it a bit more masculine.

I also like this Obey hoodie.

and this obey m65 jacket

I sort of disregarded Obey but their jackets are cheap and don't look too bad.
