Those of you with framed prints and posters, do y'all prefer to use mat boards or spacers? I want to frame some Criterion posters but think it would look dumb with mat boards and am afraid the spacers will damage the prints.

I just used a really high quality acid free paper and mounted them to that with archival two sided tape which you can get at any craft store.

Painted hole black and turned it into a media cabinet. Ripped out ugly green marble. Dry wall work is a bitch.

relocating outlets seems like it would be pretty difficult to do unless you were an electrician, no? then again, i am the most useless 'handyman' on the planet.

you need to cut holes in the dry wall to get to the wires and drag them to where you want them to be, then you have to redo the drywall - not super complicated but it takes time and effort

Yeah. Really want to redo the cabinet doors!! Either new doors or reshape and paint. Either way, I'm saving that for next year or so, kinda burnt out.

Considered the chalk board thing but shit gets dusty. And I like it monolithic, no streaks.

I really want to get a new light for dinner table as well.

Dry wall not bad but dusty as fuck. Took 3 layers with my OCD-ness had to be smooth!!! And blend good. Plenty of sanding. Don't recomend doing while living in the house. Outlets were harder to make flush than I anticipated. Intimidating but no impossible. I was just really careful.

kinda curious why you alligned the sockets to the right hand side rather than centering them on the plane..

not that it looks bad, just an interesting choice.

All has to do with where the studs are behind the drywall. The switches and outlet are secured to studs that run vertically.

Also I wanted to cut the least amount of original drywall possible. Makes for less area to blend the new drywall.
