West Ride by Western River

Recommended Posts

Very cool. Those are one of the models made by CSF, yeah? (Maybe all of their Levi’s-style jeans have been?) Really looking forward to seeing how these wear. I’ve thought about picking up a pair a few times now

According to Toshiki from their webstore, this pair is not made by CSF but in their own factory. Not sure what that actually means as he might thought I was talking about Konaka-san himself since he does some models (as you already said). Although on the label is printed "Made by Conners Co" so maybe it is done in CSF's workshop but just by the other staff members? I will investigate more ;)

Just a warning for you, don't take this model :D It is really slim, totally not what I expected. I will update with full measurements but the thighs measure around 12.5" pre-soak...
Reminds me a bit of Full Count 1108 in the top block.

^ Most of the jeans they do are Wrangler-style, although not really repros

The only Levi’s jeans I’ve seen from them are this series, which do (at least in terms of details, if not fit) seem to be closer to true reproductions, and are supposedly based off of specific parties in the brands owner’s personal collection

Shame about the cut (for me, at least). I’ve always been interested in their standard jeans but stayed away since I know the fit wouldn’t work, but I was holding out some hope that this series might be different…

You rang m’lord?

Im pretty sure Ed liked a bit of West Ride as well.

It’s been a while since I got these out. I stopped wearing them as the rise was just so damn low. Circa 10” on a W33. They are a slim jean and that’s not really what I wear anymore. Other than the fit no complaints. The hippy in me loves the belt loops and I really like the half lined pockets which gives those interesting crinkly fades.

When new:

Above pics make the denim look flat (crappy iPhone camera), below are a better representation of how it looks.

Interesting the source of yours Tilmann are a bit of a mystery. I’m pretty sure these are made by Warehouse. Spy the leather tag that says W and W Co (first West Ride & second Warehouse Co) and the size label next to a pair of WH:

And here’s an image of an old pocket flasher, albeit the one mine came with made no mention of Warehouse:

I always intended to grab of their Levi’s style jeans some day so I’m chuffed someone has picked them up here. The patch is a winner all day long.

The old Western River jeans (W501XX and definitely made by Warehouse) come up on Yahoo every now and then & always seem to fetch a decent price when mint. None up on at the mo from a brief search, but found these:

@BrownMetallic If you’re unsure on sizing you could always shoot Masuya1997 an email assuming they stock the 66s. Very easy to communicate with. As is Akira at West Ride.

There was 2 pairs of these on Yahoo back in 2016 in deadstock condition, the size 27 sold for 76k and the size 29 sold for 90k.

What do you expect for shrinkage? I think you were given particular advice?

Website suggestss 6-8 cm in the waist and 7-8 cm in the inseam (which can also shrink up to 10 cm asToskihi said). But they base these numbers on a machine wash and tumble dryer.
I was about to go that route as well to get the inseam down but might refrain from actually doing this given the snug pre-soak fit.

Warehouse make for a few brands - good business sense to maximise your production - maybe even subsidise your own offering. There’s a few brands that do the same - Toyo for example.

Might be able to pull off a W38,  if I can get 12.5+” thigh, post soak. What’s the denim weight on these, Tilmann?!
