Big old 1940s

And you probably have to be big, old and from the 1940’s like me to fully appreciate these terrific jeans. I was able to find a pair and have been wearing them often the last week. Every time I slip these S40s on I recall the jeans of my youth like no other pair in my wardrobe. Pull these up above the natural waist and buckle your belt, these babies will not move. No way they will get to or below the hips no matter what you do. You can run the decathlon in these jeans! That’s the way jeans were supposed to fit because they were workwear and not fashion back in the day. The denim is great too. It is not quite as rigid or dense as I remember but the feel is pretty close to the originals. Great job TCB! And thanks again to all of you who posted pictures here and helped me find these classic fit jeans!

Indeed my friend, indeed.

I am wearing them and mulling over a resole for aesthetic reasons, I don't like the gloxicut sole and I pray to not step on a dig shit with that sole haha.

Any pointers on where to cop vibram 2021 or 2060 soles in Europe? Vibram is an Italian company but oddly enough Vibram Italy doesn't seem to sell the 2021nor the 2060. I have found a decent local cobbler that would resole them for a very reasonable price, but he has only the Vibram Christy/Morflex which I dislike almost as much as the gloxicut.

^ ebay is your best bet. Usually they are bought by cobblers and shoemakers in bulk and are not readily available for peasants like us :D

or maybe directly through them?

Basically a pain in the arse to get them, if you are not in the shoe-biz...

indeed, I just wanted to avoid shipping from the US for a pair of sole made by an Italian brand haha. Those are the two only direct links I've found. I know some cobblers have them but not the small Italian cobbler that I wanted to use. Wijsman in the Nederlands has the 2021 but he quoted me 110 eur plus shipping both ways for the resole, it does make sense for a stitched resole, it seems a lot to just glue a gum sole.

I feel your pain. I think the 2021 and 2060 are made in the us and therefore harder to get here. But u could try other manufacturers, afaik some make similar soles.

Or different models, seems like vibram has a whole catalogue of soles inbetween the roccia and the christy morflex
