I think I was in the first batch of new send outs... that was 14th March - @Topgearskin I think was the last to receive some longer time after: but general most was April no?

Oct 1st 2019 is good for me.

and more random posting from the lightning mag workwear special

a 1920s (I think 1922) pair of Levis

enjoying imagining this particular form whiskers may be achievable via oversize suspenders mode...

[pls pardon the crotch shot...]

those are the 201 btw. My guess is that those are some of the early synthetic indigo.

I'm looking forward to when my box of jeans is all worn out and I return to my LVC 201, will probably take about 3 years before they start to look a little worn-in

really interesting!

The mag details (I am too lazy to translate, but if anyone with capacity can chime in that would be great) in English seem to list 1922 and 501xx?

What are the 201 details that leap out? belt-loop and/or back-pocket placement?

Usually a linen patch and black buttons plus big back pockets.

that's what I thought...

a comparison... of my 555 lvc 201s to the tcb20s...

[its the non-black of the buttons above that confuse me, but certainly the placement front belt-loops of the Japanese mag picture are akin to the lvc 201, but the 201 back pockets are placed higher than the 501?]

 [sorry; having a geek-out Friday...]

That'll give me more time to wear my 20s and wear other things.

@bartlebyyphonics earlier posts reminded me about a pair of 201s (and some more LVC) I let go years back... annoyingly now :( ... voluminous cut, wide hem, black suspender button, fabric patch... wish I had them to wear now!

I have mangled that particular pair of 201's - I couldn't handle wider hems back then - this 20 competition is my penance to them!

(now smaller hems seem like the devils work)

regrets also the devils work: for that reason cone-bagging frantically to not regret loosing particular models and textile weaves...

I sold a 555 pair of 201. Regrets.  Luckily still have the later pair. I love the pockets... don't know how vintage-accurate they are and don't care.

I gave away my 201s (bought from A Butcher of Distinction) to my brother-in-law years ago after a mis-sizing episode based on expectations of a level of shrinkage that never materialised despite a boil wash. Good jeans.

Do the 201s run small?  I've been eyeing that pair Beatle has on grailed.

I bought my 201s oversized, however also could not work out how to deal with the hem or what footwear worked, had them shortened what I thought was too much and my (now) wife remembers trying to stretch them manually wet, her on one end, me on the other pulling her everywhere :)... if I knew back then...

They went very cheap in a bundle on eBay with (I think) an 1890s, 1955, some others... can't exactly recall because I wanted a clear out and wasn't there at the time... best forgotten until you fellas brought it all up again :)

indeed indeed

the real trauma is that I cant comfortably fit into the older pair anyway due to waist inflation...

which reminds me: @srudy the 201 I have are old (from early 2000s) and bought 2nd hand, but clearly shrunk from 36 down to 34-ish waist and staying there, whereas the models I am buying now (within last 12 months), def shrink and then stretch out to stated size (i.e. 36 waists are shrinking but then happily going out to 37 both at 9oz and 12 oz)... more pix in the lvc thread so as to not clutter this one...

It is about 2 months since I started wearing it at work.

I am washing it without putting detergent.

It seems that color fading is slow because of that.

I spent 3 weeks.

@bartlebyyphonics Thank you!!

Your photos are wonderful photos that you can feel "wind" "temperature" "smell" "air" ... all.

thank you @Uncle Karl

here in the UK autumn is the most complex of the seasons I think: so many approaches to the senses to catch and live with...

I truly appreciate your most excellent pictures of nature and life too

your jeans are looking great, and the stitching on the jacket is wonderful also!

@bartlebyyphonics Thank you as always!

Autumn is a lonely feeling, but I like it.
