Happy Jeans - Tcb 20s contest thread

Recommended Posts

Hope you all had a great summer. We did.

Incredibly, given I was the person started the thread with all our nippers as toddlers... this was our son's last summer before uni . Coulda been stressful waiting for results so we kept ourself busy. Hence we've been to Deal, in Kent, then Britanny, then Scotland!

I can't upload pix for some reason.. so will be back once it's working again.

Deal was great because we could take poochy. Even though she was canina non grata.

Sorry we didn't bump into Bartleby!

This is an amazing pub called The Jackdaw, a regular for Battle of Britain pilots, and also a setting for the film, where Susannah York is wearing WAF dress and perfect 1960s make-up. The village is picture postcard perfect.

very nice Paul! Apologies for being missing in action guys.
Summer are always tough for me, lots of work. This summers has proven to be the tougher ever, the general manager I've been working with for my chamber music festival didn't get confirmed at the end of his contract, and I've been left managing this year festival on my own as at the moment the GM position is vacant. Another tale from the land of farce. Anyway the festival will end up on aug 31st, I will make sure to post regular updates in the last month..

Great to see you made it to Deal @Paul T! I love it there. such a hidden part of Kent. Dogs are definitely more welcome north and south of the Deal beach (Sandwich Bay [which is a long walk or a drive through a toll road] or Kingsdown nr. Walmer [the Zetland pub... for refreshments]). Fingers crossed for your family and results!

Good to hear you live @volvo240thebest!!! Figured the contract was getting you for all it was worth at this time; sounds like a 'work smarter with less' imposition / B.S. scenario... poor planning by those with the budget leaving those in post sweating... finger crossed for your sanity! Keep on trucking!

Loch Ness

NEver done it before, but had a great time wandering up mountains etc with rugby and football types

Scotland is drop-dead beautiful. But those bastard midges!

This place was the site of a Jacobite battle in 1719, after which it was reduced to rubble for 200 years.

Wash time soon. Needs a repair or two again.

true, we're getting close to the end.
I am back to normal life after three months of hectic work, finally!

I washed the jeans right side out, à la Paul T. True, the fabric seems to react very nicely to it.
Gotta follow closely on all the little unfair tricks Paul is using to win this contest :D:D:D

Look immensely forward to see the world first laptop patch. You only wear a suit in the last two months of the contest, it won't make any difference.  While we wear the jeans you can borrow a nice Dremel from the technology class room to give the finishing touches to your pair!

Friday feels.

Went for dinner last night at Bov here in Gothenburg. Best napolitan style pizza here in town. Devoured Today's special before I remembered to take a picture of it but here's the other two.

Picked up a TCB cap to go out of this contest in complete TCB-style. And yes, a bandana from Two Ears Brand too. Lovely stuff from Ooe Yofukuten and Bandanna Almanac.

Washing the jeans tomorrow. More updates after the wash!

Have a nice weekend y'all.
