Nice Filson Medium duffle aho!  I have the same bag in green.  As much as I like it, it hangs in such a way that it has to be slung over the body (as you have it) rather than only over a shoulder.  So I carry a Fogg bag, which is pricey but fantastic:

It's actually a Filson Small Field Bag! Small enough for my daily needs

nice.  finally someone who uses  a GR with a viewfinder instead of the goddamn LCD.

Yeah it's really weird for me shooting digital in the first place so I usually just turn the LCD display off and if I'm not using the evf I'm shooting blind. The GR is still pretty new to me and ideally I'd like to upgrade to an M9 or an M240/262 in the near future but we'll see.

i have strong opinions about digital Leica.  If money isn't an issue, go hard.  But due to digital rot/life cycle of digital, I dont see the point in paying so much for a body unless you are absolutely married to the rangefinder game.  I shoot my Fuji x100T like I shoot my M6.  I zone focus and hyperfocus.  Its not as enjoyable but it works.

I have to wash mine more frequently since I wear them everyday to the office and I am a professional seeing patients. I have three washes already. I plan to post an update this Thursday (1 mo).  I am happy with the fit and the fades so far. I notice more and more  of that cobalt blue in the sun. I hope this starts to become more predominate. At this point it is very limited and just enough to make my mouth water.

Mine have seen three washes already but I might hold off since the whiskers are settling in.

Re: cameras, I'm on an X70 and find the lack of VF kind of refreshing, especially with the style of shooting on this camera. Not for the purists for sure but as it goes, the best camera is the camera you have on you!

most people using the x70 say the same thing regarding not missing the VF.  Im just old school, and therefore very hard to me to budge from my corner.  Also, my style tends to be very fast, so there are times where I raise the camera to my face but I never even look through the VF.  I associate the LCD screen with landscape shooting, and zooming in 10X to get focus.  TL;DR, get off my lawn!!

^Lovely photo and to be honest I wish I was old school enough to claim a need for VF or to actually use it! Years of iPhone use has affected me greatly it seems. I still think the GR is the best for street photography (look no further than your own sample!) but for my amateur needs the X70 does very well.

Here are a few photos from my trip to Arkansas thus far (GR only, havent developed any film as I'm still here).  The purpose of this trip was for me and my Dad to check on my Grandparents and make sure they're still doing well, they're in their mid 80's and we haven't seen them in the last few years.

We went to eat at their favorite restaurant today, one from the walk in.

Another from the same restaurant.

My Grandfather is a great storyteller.

I'll post some more photos later but this is all for now.

I wish! My Grandparents are children of people who survived the depression so they're cheap and hold onto their cheap things for a very long time haha my Dad has a great collection of vintage stuff (mainly of the cowboy variety) however, plus a lot of really nice turquoise and silver jewelry which you would really like! I'll grab photos of some of his stuff soon and post it for you.

Hey, nice to see someone else enjoys beer! I could easily turn this into a beer thread, as that's probably my second biggest hobby outside of denim...

Mini update from my day today.

My favorite detail on these jeans: 8Y2QL9l.jpg

Pardon the poor lighting, but seeing the beginning of a little roping coming through:

Went on a little walk with Olive, here she is:

Wildflowers blooming like crazy with the rain we've been getting:

Hard to spot but there are three deer in this photo:

Later I went out to Jester King to try out their new beer inspired by a brewery I've always wanted to try: Fantôme. This one was called Fantôme Del Rey.

Had to have tome Funk Metal since it was on tap!

Made it home with a nice haul:

Clearly I don't really need any more beer...or I just need another fridge!

How do you like that R2? I'm thinking of picking up an R2a once I have enough saved up.

The r2 is a great intro to rangefinders! Honestly don't even bother with the r2a, just get an r2 and force yourself to start learning how to read light, you'll be glad you did down the road.

I use a fully manual camera now :-) The AE feature of the R2a would be great for me when shooting street.. then again this roughly at the same price point of a Rolleiflex and that is the other camera (albeit different formats) I'm debating on getting.
