My thoughts are with you. Difficult times.

I just went through exactly the same thing. First I couldn't decide between slim and straight so i was forced into taking a pair of each. And then I couldn't decide between semi retired nicely worn in pair and newer work in progress pair so I was forced into taking a pair of each. 

Clearly my family would think I was mad if they could tell the difference between any of the four pairs of jeans. But I appreciate them all as individuals. 

Worked out ok in the end.

I wish I had known this earlier.  I haven’t bought anything from overseas since March so all of my purchases have been domestic.  I’ve never dealt with getting an overseas shipment via fedex before.

@DoitsuJinIt doesn’t help that some people on Instagram are flaunting their purchases from the sale!  Kind of mad I skipped out on this one.

Most if not all of them already had one through Rakuten gold with nice front pages. Global had us skipping that part.

If you have some time on your hands the Heddels Blowout Podcast with Moshin Sajid is worth a listen - especially the part on sustainability (environmental and general) in the industry. He's also pushing hemp like a drug dealer as an alternative to cotton and backs it up with reasonable arguments.

I have a 50/50 hemp / cotton denim by Sauce Zhan (which I'm going to sell). I think bringing in different fibers could be interesting. They would evolve in different ways. Sugar Cane and a few cotton / linen shirts show that it can be done.

In my limited exposure to hemp, it didn't get anywhere as soft as cotton though, but then again hemp has not gone through hundreds of years of selective breeding (at least not focused on fiber softness...)

I got stuff from Japan in June-July and it took 3-4 weeks Japan Post.

Hmm, I just received a pair of Buzz Rickson chinos from Junky's store on Rakuten. I used a bogus JP zip code when filling out the form, put my address in and made a note on the order that I was requesting shipping to the US, but would understand if they needed to cancel the order. They sent an email confirming the address and offering EMS or FedEx shipping. The pants arrived in Brooklyn via FedEx three days after payment.

Interesting, when I've tried to buy previously from Junky Style they've told me outright no international orders.
That's been a little while now, so maybe things have changed?

Yeah I think Junky Style and Junky Classics do not ship to the US, while Junky Special does.
I ordered a pair of those 1946 SC from Junky Special awhile ago.

So here’s a thing ... I’ve been trying to catalogue my FW gear pictorially, for here and my own purposes. It’s been more of a struggle than I thought because I’m no expert in photography and I hadn’t realised, that my camera was also failing (it was nearly 8 years old and is well past its expected shutter count being all around the world with my work, and the sensor was also having issues) so shots were becoming more erratic - not good for what I’d hoped to achieve.

Anyway yesterday the Duchess came in after work and randomly handed me a parcel and card. It was random because the thing is I’m not good at receiving presents - I much rather be giving - so usually for birthdays, Christmases, father’s days and the like I’ll get a card and perhaps a small gift. I open the card and read the message from Ellie and mum and then I’m encouraged to open the parcel. It was this ...

 

The Duchess knows the square root of f-ck all about cameras and so she’d spent the last few weeks reading every review on the internet ... (literally) brought a tear to my eye
