Edwin Jeans..

Recommended Posts

Thanks for the comments!

I washed them!

Took them out just before the spin cycle. They are dripping blue water atm.

But it looks as if the blue colour has spread to my fades. Where they where almost white before they are now blueish.

It looks as if the fades are less pronounced now. :(

They are still wet. But I am a bit disappointed :)

I guess I have to wait and see.

They turned out quite OK.

After machine wash! The Jeans were still a bit damp when I took these pictures.

60's are very slim and have oversize waist, size 32 measure 35" and shrinks 2"  I doubt SD go near their stock with a tape measure.

If my 60's xxx from Closer are the same as the SD ones, (and I say IF because I don't know, they may not

be) I bought a w36 with the anticipation of around 3 inches shrinkage (probably won't happen though.) Actual measurements are w39.5, rise 13, (5 button fly), thigh 14.25, knee 9.5, hem 8.5.

Overworks 60's..

Tag size 30 (I'm a 32 waist) they measured 35" raw

Shrinkage is about 6% for waist and inseam

Waist: 17.5 / 16.5

Inseam: 34 / 32

Front rise: 12 / 11.5

Thigh: 12.75 / 12.5

Knee: 8.5 / 8.25

Hem: 7.75 / 7.5

I am about the same size as you . Does anyone have the measurement (Inc frnt/back rise ) for the 40's and 50's models.

This 60's cut seems very much like the ltd ed. that OiPoloi put out with cone mills denim and green line?

I need something wider at the hem. Thanks

IIRC the 50's model has a front rise around 10 / 10.5" and are just as slim as the 60's.

Thanks Freezie.I'm surprized that a 50's cut would have a lower rise.

Its not exactly a 50's cut though, just hint i.e. the offset belt loop and straight albeit slim leg.

Sorry for the Edwin ED-49 spam.

The weather here in Malmö was so nice today that I just had to take some pictures.

Enjoy!

Why thank you Alex.

Here are two more pictures just for you!

A big thanks to Meadow for borrowing me a pair of new Edwin ED-49 for the pictures. The lightning might not be optimal. But it is still nice to see the difference between a new pair and a one year old pair.

Anyone know if Edwin plans to make the Panhead or Flathead jackets again?  They looked sweet, but I missed getting one when they came out a couple of years back.

My Edwin ED-49 has not been worn since 2013-08-02. My IH-666S are getting repaired so I took these out of the closet and decided to give them a hot soak in the tub yesterday.

First two pictures taken with flash. The last two without. Light was a bit crap today. It is gray and snowing outside.
