Update two, Nayuta will do the patch, so different designer this time around. It's cool to have a Tcb fan doing it!

@Nayuta

Can we focus on lettering and typography this time instead of cats?

no

Nayuta is good at drawing, very good I'd say. I like the idea of having a supporter on board for this, Ryo too. Sorry for this
What we can do, perhaps with the help of someone else, is scan her drawings on illustrator/psd and adding letterwork done on computer
I'd like stencil style fonts, those photos remind me of a tomb, to be honest.

I'd be interested in a jacket too if we went the S506XX route, ensuring that it had accurate body length and proportions.

100% agreeing on the interest in an s506xx with correct proportions (ie non-lengthened body) ...

great to know they are listening and interested in input..

so...

to continue my plea to @TCBINOUE for a WW2 TCB chore coat (not necessarily for the contest, but as a long-term plan if going into mid 40s territories...) I repost (from the chore thread) this war time chore made by Hercules...

IVaaIHoh.png

and more pointedly these two from Lee: even more desired and interesting reduced pocket placement and arrangement I think...

I hardly hardly doubt we can get an authorization to use the term sufu or superfuture, amirite @sufu1 ???

as for the text I would personally opt to stick with an ordinary Levi template

on top
Tcb Jeans & co
2nd line
this is a tcb WW2 contest jeans
same level as the drawing
left: 2 cats brand
right: since 2012
3rd line
every garment guaranteed
bottom line
LOT SWW2XX            W        L

we may add sufu (as on tcbxsufu) to line 2 if Wayne kindly agrees to give us authorization, but I would totally understand if he won't

I want to see and try a couple different font options besides stencil, just curious...

I'm watching TV tonight and suddenly recalled the WWII film series and documentary "FIVE CAME BACK".

AAAABdS2w4RYtzYCp1eiztrbQSNCAZDrwI1MrRIh6DmHmwFgBzbn4slSki616-qzLn4_5s7fEuMYqWcOSlAkKalKsF4Gyd2rD5ytTZpkgw0bbCzzss9Fp8GySDSs5uOL8gtzCXm5rCzV6Q.jpg.bdfd462e2f3ff28817f52a739e9f8de0.jpg

The name of hajime's cat is Tora right? How about put "TORA CAME BACK" into the design.

so this is what ST Stencil looks like in that format...

not sure: think it needs other fonts...

Is it cool with RMC if we use the tank on the patch? I just don't want any trouble again with other brands this time around

With mister Volvo being swamped with work I'll share the workload of the organizing the tour.

To our great delight we've successfully talked Inoue-san into another SUFUxTCB adventure. Following the TCB 50's contest, the introduction of the ranchman shirt and the upcoming TCB 20's contest in 2018, we're now also doing a world tour - starring a prototype of the very jean we will rock in the next TCB contest. Inoue and his crew is basing the jeans off of a vintage pair of Levi's from the 1920's he got a hold of back in april and will also rock a completely new denim.

For the tour we'll have a size 32 for our disposal. Measurements will hopefully be sorted out.

We're kicking off the tour at TCB's very own factory in Kurashiki where I will pick up the jeans during the last week of july.

The current roster of TCB rockstars:
      Bobbo (Sweden)
      Paul T (UK)
      Red Dragon (Indonesia)
      NYC surfer (USA)
      JaredLee (USA)
      Ooms (Indonesia)
      Foxy (Germany/Russia)
      Ironhorse (Taiwan)
      Articulate (USA)
      Jigsaw (Indonesia)
      Holio Cornolio (UK)
      Mandel9000 (NOR)

      Subs:
      Reverendglasseye
      Louisbosco
      FeloniusMonk

The roster is full for now, although it won't hurt having a few subs!

The original and what we're looking forward to:
