I wonder why he chose to reproduce a 30's jacket, which I find very similar to a type 1, as opposed to a rider's, which is very distinctive.

Those jeans look great. I wonder how slim the ones on the left will be. The regulars look huge.

@volvo240thebest

Do you know if he has vintage examples at hand to base the repros on ?

I haven't enquired but in the past he refused to make stuff without having an original to measure so I assume either he has those pieces or someone lent them to him for awhile.
I will ask though!

I've never been a fan of Lee products but those look really nice ! My favorite part gotta be the hairy patch and hardware

Thanks mate , wouldn't mind a nice Lee repro and the more authentic the better imo

Edit , just seen that last post .. No cinch back ?? Maybe there just the prototype?

^ Looks like that's the "slim" model. Based on the other photos, the regular one should still have a cinch.

Looks like the guys from Denimio came over to Sakura to give them a hand in designing a collab. :D

could be worse - ok for pre-distressed.

personally, I find their biker-shop collaborations more troublesome...

the guy behind Blue Sakura apprently is one of Inoue's mentors, he introduced him to the denim business.
it's absolutely dreadful, I agree!
Also the tcb x blue sakura t shirt I think it's quite horrible. @Bobbo bought one because is a tasteless peasant!

Would love to interject with some pictures of my recently acquired TCB Baker Pants. The fit is roomier than I thought, but I've grown to love them and have been wearing them over my 20's. Pictures are from my recent trip to Iceland and Poland!

Anyone saw the full catboy jacket pics? It looks good! Damn I may end to buy my 5th tcb jacket...also it seems he made a jacket in the shorter side of things this time, so you guys can stop complaining about how long Tcb jackets are and you can start complaining how short this one is!

The body looks long for the jacket

I like the jacket but the back looks a little weird? Maybe I'm just not familiar enough with Lee.
Based on measurements I might size up.

Inoue-san recommended me to choose the same size as on the 50s or 30s jacket. The measurements on the catboy looks smaller tho.. But I guess he knows best!

With mister Volvo being swamped with work I'll share the workload of the organizing the tour.

To our great delight we've successfully talked Inoue-san into another SUFUxTCB adventure. Following the TCB 50's contest, the introduction of the ranchman shirt and the upcoming TCB 20's contest in 2018, we're now also doing a world tour - starring a prototype of the very jean we will rock in the next TCB contest. Inoue and his crew is basing the jeans off of a vintage pair of Levi's from the 1920's he got a hold of back in april and will also rock a completely new denim.

For the tour we'll have a size 32 for our disposal. Measurements will hopefully be sorted out.

We're kicking off the tour at TCB's very own factory in Kurashiki where I will pick up the jeans during the last week of july.

The current roster of TCB rockstars:
      Bobbo (Sweden)
      Paul T (UK)
      Red Dragon (Indonesia)
      NYC surfer (USA)
      JaredLee (USA)
      Ooms (Indonesia)
      Foxy (Germany/Russia)
      Ironhorse (Taiwan)
      Articulate (USA)
      Jigsaw (Indonesia)
      Holio Cornolio (UK)
      Mandel9000 (NOR)

      Subs:
      Reverendglasseye
      Louisbosco
      FeloniusMonk

The roster is full for now, although it won't hurt having a few subs!

The original and what we're looking forward to:
