Hi everyone, so great to see how the DWC evolved (again) in the past 2 years. Together with Megatron I ran a sideshow with the Artisan Challenge on the DWC site. We also finished it on May 1st, and would like to invite everyone to vote (if interested) on the Artisan Challenge participants (including people like Companion Denim, WH Ranch Dungarees, Benzak, etc). The page https://theartisanjournal.com/the-artisan-challenge/ has been set with an overall voting poll (specific page) and singular voting polls per artisan (see the drop down on header The Artisan Challenge). 

The past 2 years I have been responsible for running the Artisan Challenge, a contest intended to determine "The Best Jean Maker" when it comes to artisanal craftsmanship. Our main goal was to push and promote artisanal craftsmanship, challenge makers to innovate and show their skills to the world. It has been great seeing many artisanal makers participate and teach, learn and develop. Some tested new fits or fabrics, others tested their own skills and some developed insane styles. Now, with the voting taking place, the top 3 will receive prizes such as a booth at Denim Boulevard Milano this summer and premium denim fabrics by Berto Industria Tessile. It has been great to be an advocate of the artisanal denim movement and hopefully it will inspire many! May 1st this journey ended and the site is open for voting on the artisans in both overall and individual votes:
