Five Fave Beers

CHIMAY! (I don't normally pay $6 for an 11oz. bottle, but that stuff is seriously worth it)

Upland Wheat (from Bloomington, IN--great wheat beer, definitely my favorite)

BBC Bluegrass Brewing Company (if you get to Louisville for Derby or any other reason, pick some up, many varieties)

Hacker Pschorr Hefe-Weisen (best on tap at the local German place)

Budweiser (the store near my house sells cold, 6-pack Talls for $5)

Chimay FTW!

these days I tend to drink Asahi half/half (light and dark beer mixed) when I go out.

Asahi would be me doing real good at this point, I'm currently drinking the local swill, Cass. :( I really don't think it's on par with even a PBR. Also costs $2.30 a tallboy, which is total horseshit, but when you're thirsty... That 4 pack of High Life tallboys I used to pay $2.99 for in college apparently costs me $9 now. Ridiculous. A 6-pack of Asahi cans costs approximately $16 here. I'm having to tighten my belt a bit now that I've quit my job, so I reckon me and my old friend Jack will be hanging out together back at my place more often now....

I can't believe someone actually listed Hite in their top 5, that shit is trash.

I should do my top 5 Asian beers:

1. Yebisu

2. Asahi Super Dry

3. '333'

4. San Miguel Pilsner

5. Kirin Lager

American beer gets a lot of flak, especially from us dumbass Canadians who associate American Beer = Bud, Coors, Miller... but you guys have some amazing microbrewed shit that we can't get up here! Well, we have good microbrewers also... but not of the magnitude and availablity that you Yanks have. Damn. I'm thirsty.

these are the best beers ive drank recently...

blue point winter ale

blue point hoptical illusion

southampton espresso stout

southampton cuvee des fleurs

as far as a list of favorite beers, i would take any of the above any day of the week...add magic hat #9 (from a tap in new england only - the farther from vermont you get, the worse it gets) to that list too

Coopers is the only Aussie beer even worth trying. VB, XXXX, Tooheys, Powers (still around?), Carlton, Fosters (wtf?)... rubbish. :D Never tried Boags though, nor did I try any microbrews last time I was there.
