New Items/Updated: Cloak + Plokhov Sell-Off.

Recommended Posts

I'm selling off quite a large collection of Cloak items that I no longer wear. Letting them go for cheap, but I won't negotiate on price. I'm also happy to keep this stuff for odd days, and do not need the money, so they will not be reduced for any reason. All prices include shipping (in the CONUS) and Paypal fees.

No trades, please. Sold items are listed at the bottom of the post.

Alexandre Plokhov Black Neck Strap Shirt, Sz S (9.5/10): $75

This is essentially brand new, I've never worn it and I think it was purchased new. Indentations from the buttons on the placket is the only thing I can see that might constitute "wear". No size tag that I can see, but fits like a small 46. Gorgeous fabric, buttons, and subtle details. The most "Cloak" of his shirts that I've handled. Awesome and understated neck detail, subtle oversized front pockets, beautiful two-toned black fabric.

Cloak 2006 Military V-Neck Bomber in Green, Sz M (9/10): $200

Perfect, slim-fitting bomber jacket w/ epaulet and wolf button details. Made in Italy, really fantastic piece. It's been worn minimally -- in near perfect shape w/ just a small amount of wear.

Cloak 2006 Deep Cotton-Cashmere V-Neck, Sz S (9/10): $125

***Would definitely trade for a M or L.

Extremely rare! Cloak's best light sweater in a gorgeous gunmetal grey. I really wish I could keep this, but it's just too small. Sooooo many subtle details: deep neck, perforations throughout, ribbing at shoulders and cuffs, rolled hems. This, to me, was Cloak in its essence: a subtle piece whose differences and uniqueness take a minute to settle in. It's in very good shape (ignore the wrinkles from storage): the tag is missing a few threads, and I reinforced the pits (unnoticeable) before wearing as these sweaters had a production issue there. Still has that "new" sheen.

Cloak 2006 Linen/Cotton Military Sweater, Sz L (10/10):  $75

In perfect condition as far as I can tell (it has all the buttons, I was just being lazy in the photos). Fits a little oversized. The cottom/linen blend is really special with an interesting gauzy dry hand feel. The colors are amazing. One of the best runs of Cloak's sweaters.

Cloak 2006 Fishnet/Mesh Sweater, Sz S (8/10): $75

(Oops: mis-listed the size. It's a small that fits oversized... good for a standard 48/M fitted).

Everyone knows this piece, and it's in quite good condition (the mesh is supposed to wear away). Extremely soft and luxurious, surprisingly wearable with an incredible neck detail.

Cloak 2006 Cotton/Cashmere Grey Hooded Sweater Vest, Sz M (9/10): $80

Extremely wearable, soft, brilliant piece in the gunmetal grey color that really made these sweaters. Fits closer to a S than a M. Wonderful layering piece.

******** SOLD ITEMS ********

Cloak 2005 Military Jacket, Sz M (9/10): SOLD!!

In essentially perfect condition, surprisingly wearable, very comfortable. This is a very underrated item from Cloak, It's like a vest with insanely comfortable arms, very adaptable with the interior flap to make it a v-neck or not. Really awesome piece, I'm on the fence in terms of parting with it.

Cloak 2003 Brown Blazer/Jacket, Sz L (9/10, No Tags): $150 SOLD

*Extremely* rare microsuedish brown jacket from the 2003 season. In rather incredible shape for its age. Tons of tiny details, essentially a case study in Plokhov/Geller at their best. The interior "Cloak" tags are gone, but it fits like a pretty standard L/50. Really special piece.

Cloak 2004 Elbow Strap Blazer, Sz M (Fits like an S): $200 (Edit: not in the condition I thought, like 7/10. Details coming...) SOLD!

What more can you say? This is the blazer. In extremely good overall condition (wrinkles, and such are part of the design). It has some tearing to the interior arm lining (easily fixable), and has a couple small snags on the back (not super-noticeable, in-line w/ the design). Is in overall nice condition, really beautiful.

Cloak 2004 Blood/Black Diamond Sweater Vest, Sz S (8/10 Condition): $100 SOLD!

This is the only time I've seen this for sale. Extremely rare, might be a sample from the show (there's no tag). Fits between S and M. Pictures can't do this justice -- the colors are this incredible muted hue, the piece is soft. There is light piling (it's a decade old), but this is fixable and it's in excellent condition.

Cloak 2005 Field Jacket, Sz S (8/10, Fits true, might work on thin M, Perfect other than small rip): $150 SOLD!

This thing is so detailed, it's essentially Cloak in a nutshell. Pointed cuffs, awesome neck closure, wolf buttons w/ waist cinch, waxed-esque cotton. So cool. There is a tiny snag in the front left pocket (pictured), it is not very noticeable. I don't need to sell this jacket, it's amazing.

This is a Spring/Fall jacket. Made in Italy.

Shell = Cotton (I think lightly waxed, has a sheen).

Not lined (has a double layer of cotton, except in arm, which is acetate.

Measurements (approximate, this is hard to measure).

pits = 18.5"

shoulders (from the front) = 17"

from back nape of neck to end = 32"

The piece can also be made smaller/larger, as it has an adjustable band with snaps in the waist.

Cloak 2006 Prototype Button Up Shirt, Grey, Sz S (9/10): $100 SOLD!

I assume that this is a prototype, it has no size tag (fits like a 46, spot on). Amazing details: crisp fabric, "tie-bar" style collar, double-barreled cuffs, super-beautfiul buttons. In incredible condition.

Cloak 2004 Cargo Pants, Sz 34 (8/10 Condition): SOLD!

Crazy detailed things, with an awesome beige weft that spits through the elegant griminess that Cloak is known for. They've seen some wear, but they're in good solid shape (maybe closer to 7/10 than 8/10, I don't know). They're designed to fade fast, moving from an awesome grayish blue to dirty beige. Amazing details, riri zipper pockets, just incredible pants. Not quite as slim as normal Cloak offerings. Note that *I think* these are from 2004, but I could be wrong about that.

Cloak 2005 Hussar Jacket, Canvas (Size M, fits true (slightly short), Modified, 8/10 Condition): SOLD!

Ok, this is complicated. I *think* this was once a Hussar jacket [EDIT: THIS WAS/IS DEFINITELY A HUSSAR]. I bought it with these ridiculous gold military buttons. I still have them somewhere, and I'll include them. I had them replaced, and it looks awesome. When I look at pictures of the old canvas Hussar, it looks identical (minus, of course, the tabs). Two guesses: 1) Plokhov released the hussar with those gold buttons. 2) The previous owner had them replaced with the gold buttons. Regardless, I can't stress how incredible this jacket is -- gorgeous, thick canvas, rider-style zip, embedded sleeves. It's a shade short on me, otherwise I'd be keeping. Incredible piece. Has a tiny white stain on the front -- I assume this can be cleaned out. Otherwise in excellent condition with a tiny bit of fading in stress points (as per the design).

MA+ Brown Kangaroo Staple Derbies in 44 (Fit more like 43, 8/10 condition): HOLDING/KEEPING

The excellent model is not included! These are just great shoes, the perfect summer pair. Thin and strong kangaroo leather, beautifully mottled leather (Centrally brown, but w/ black and grey tones). Comes with box, bag, spare laces, spare heels. Could use a vibram soon, but they're in otherwise excellent shape (and comes with spare heels, etc). Hell of a deal here, I just don't really wear any derbies other than my AV_Fields, so I thought I'd move them. Happy to keep them.

Cloak 2006 Barn Jacket in Grey, Sz L (5/10): GONE

These are fabulous jackets, really versatile and wearable across a good deal of weather. Tons of details: pointed cuffs, leather buttons, moto collar, back map pocket, pleated back shoulders, quilted interior. This is quite well-worn -- some shredding to the interior quilting, some fading to the denin/grosgrain outer. But all of the buttons are intact, and hey: it's a barn jacket. Letting it go for super cheap as I just picked up a new one in black.

Cloak 2004 Wool Flight Bomber, SZ L (7/10, Fits like a M/Small L): GONE

A grail, this one. In rather incredible condition for its age (though it has been worn). Very little piling to the exterior. There's a tear in the left pocket *but* the flap covers it so it's invisible (and it's been sewn). The hood has been lost. Zam Barrett made another -- color is not identical, but it looks good. You'll be happy with this jacket. It's a piece of design history.
