A Closer Look at the adidas Consortium Stan Smith Pack

Following a brief glimpse of the four-piece pack, today brings a closer look at the pack of adidas Consortium Stan Smith releases due out later this month. While the kicks retain their OG white/green color palette, the drop exhibits the Consortium range’s commitment to premium, luxurious renditions thanks to the use of cracked, pebbled, scaly and ostrich motifs across the tennis classic’s stark white leather upper. While the original Stan Smith is on tap for a return tomorrow, January 15, the premium Consortium releases will be available from spots like No74 Berlin beginning January 25.

2 Different Stan Smiths dropping?

The EU sites listed the model#D67361 and green heel is faded leather and the inner tongue is different compared to the sku#M20324 pair that footaction had just put up. Do a search on the M20324 and it looks like the old pair with non-faded leather and a padded tongue.

Faded heel tabs are made of suede and the brighter ones look like they are made of leather (unless it's a question of lighting).

I don't see why it is complicated to do all leather with leather classic green tabs without some machine made 'exotic' leather.

the classic, all leather version of the stan smiths are available here

re: BlessDidas: I still don't know if the story about the bag of pre-cut Bless fabrics was lost during the transport and the ladies who were doing the trainers decided to cut parts of random fabrics is true or not but it makes the whole project nicer. Some of my favourites.

Y-3 x Factory Records/: FAC51-Y3
this_one.jpg
fac51_y3_a.jpg
fac51_y3_c.jpg

Behold, the FAC51-Y3. No, it’s not a late addition to the musical catalogue of Mancunian record label Factory Records, clearly, but a highly limited trainer from Y-3 (the brand created by adidas and Yohji Yamamoto), devised especially to celebrate the twenty-fifth anniversary of legendary Manchester nightclub The Haçienda. The shoe’s design is a collaboration between Peter Saville (the original Factory Records graphic designer), Ben Kelly (the architect who designed the original Haçienda interiors) and Joy Division/New Order bass player, Peter Hook.
The trainers come in a custom six-sided, maple-bottomed box (the same shape as the Haçienda’s dancefloor) and will be wrapped in four sheets of tissue paper – two will feature Kevin Cummins’ photography of the club in its late 80s heyday, one will be adorned with Ben Kelly’s original design sketches for the Haçienda’s interior, while a fourth will reflect how the space looks today.
A DVD documenting a discussion between Kelly, Saville and Hook sharing anecdotes about the club, Factory Records and how they feel about that time in their lives 25 years on will also be included in the package – an excerpt from which is being taken especially for CR Blog. (We will post it up here as soon as we can).
The shoe, strictly limited to just 250 pairs, will be sold exclusively in the Y-3 Manchester store for two weeks before it goes on sale in Y-3’s Shop-in-Shop at Selfridges London, Y-3’s flagship store in Tokyo and other selected retailers worldwide. Best save up though, the FAC51-Y3 will be priced at a cool £345.

I thought these were mainline, were they produced in Adidas facilities?

Also, someone posted the Rick Adidas in WAYWT today. Look decent, but I don't see them looking good with any full-length pant. And we all know they're going to find their way into fits with jogging pants =[
