Ann D leaves Ann D. Is there talk of a new label?

Just curious if anyone knows if she's going to be designing new things asap or if she's taking a breather or what.

She's been doing it for 30 years. She's married, has kids, and lives in a house designed by Le Corbusier. Maybe she's just tired of the circus and is looking forward to a more quiet life.

There are rumors that her husband has fallen ill lately, amongst other things. She's been in the game forever and she's paid her dues. It's no real secret that her label has been struggling the last few years, so I think it was a smart move to get out now and save her legacy. She was an incredibly important member of the fashion industry, especially in the 90s - early 00s, but her time has come and gone.

shes done her part of the industry and deserves the rest. Being a designer is no easy feat, churning out so many looks in a year, even with the help she has.

One thing I'm fairly sure of is that it's not a spiteful split the way many are these days. Ann has long been managed by Anne Chappelle, who is one of the few genuinely good people in this business from all I've heard.
