if people are going to soak, they might as well go ahead and do it and then tell us how much they shrunk. cuz if there's no hope for them fitting, i'd like to know ahead of time and sell them before i soak them.

judging from past experience, however, i would guess they should shrink about an inch in the waist.

Regardless of what anyone else does, those who like the Nov.1 idea are going to do it, me included. It's the absolute LEAST I could do in appreciation for Beatle's hard work in setting this up.

holy shit, I just got home and mine were here wating for me... I've never felt anything so stiff, and slubby. They are awesome. I tried them on to see how they fit and no trouble buttoning them, although they were snugger than I thought they would be pre-shrink. Probably about as tight in the waist as my RB11's

Both the rb11's and these are 28's and fit the same, niether have seen water yet.

These are way too long, no way I can do the 36" inseam, I'm like a 30". After soak, wondering how much I should hem them...maybe up to 32" ? I don't know, we'll see how it goes.

I'm waiting until Nov. 1 because beatle said so.

Neither is mine. I also didn't get the special samurai banner that was supposed to come with the SO500XX's.

Lack of banners and upside down A's aside the jeans are amazing; Nov 1st can't come soon enough.

Its a banner, not a towel, heh. Basically a thin ass piece of cloth that says samurai on it.

I don't speak Japanese but a nice lady I know does. Her very brief translation of the enclosed letter (scanned above) is that it's a sort of disclaimer. "We make these denims on old looms, so the colour and feel is uneven."

Basically "they're supposed to look like they do, OK." :-)
