that fishtail is awful but the season isn't as bad as I thought it'd be.  the siouxsie hoodie pretty much nails the making shit in a wood panelled basement in the 80s thing, i guess that's what the opening ceremony generation is into these days. 

 

also, they should just stop making button down shirts

what does the blood chit ma-1 say on the patch? i want to buy it, but i wouldn't be comfortable wearing something that said " i am an enemy of the japanese" or something

If you read about blood chits they are basically a multi-lingual print that indicates the user is a pilot and their plane was downed. They mean no harm and request assistance be it food or shelter. I believe this is the chit used on the alpha industries model:

I appreciate this way of looking at it and it's very true but that doesn't change the fact that a lot of this stuff looks like boy meets world

Its classic early-mid nineties NYC skate scene. Heavy washed denim with fray hem, animal prints, jersey, neon, colorblocking etc. IMO its VERY cohesive, but at the same time I can't imagine many dudes pulling it off. Props to Jebbia for sticking to his guns and not releasing something just to appease people. I see this selling well in Japan where people can pull off dressing a little crazy without getting awkward looks.
