what do belt sizes 85, 90, and 95 translate into in US sizes?

those are centimeters. Translate to inches to get approximate size.

is it the measurement to the largest hole? or the entire lengh of the belt excl. buckle? or something else?

Basically a 85 belt fits those who wear a 29 - 31, a 90 is ok if your waist is 32 - 34 - and the 95 would be ok if ur bigger than that

yes i am bigger than that. i get what your saing, i am fat... well at least i am working on it haha. i am a 33-34 in most jeans, but a 36 in my RRSD so i think i ordered the 95 to be safe

you should be okay...there is a 100, 105 and 110 as well...so consider yourself the lean mean fighting machine !!
