maybe it is a old/weird family secret recipe that i should not have posted on a message board

 

my lola is also known to make chocolate oatmeal (chocolate syrup in your oatmeal)

so old/weird recipes may be a thing she was known for

^ do you eat it with dillis? Can imagine champorado being sold in styrofoam cups topped with fried dillis. The latter would definitely scare the white people. 

 

Thought that ube empanada was happening in Manila too. Would've traded you some Bagnet for a dozen.

a breakfast silog joint would work for me stateside. fried egg, garlic rice, and some cured meats with a slice of tomato. cant beat that with a yantok. i even fucks with the jollibee version on occasion.
