Nicolas Andreas Taralis

I am making this thread just to share info about this designer. Nicolas Andreas Taralis is Canadian born studied in Vienna at the University of Applied Arts with Helmut Lang. He worked on the Dior Homme design team for three years then launched his own line. For those who don't know he was one the people rumored to be the next creative director at Dior Homme if Hedi Slimane left. I just found out about him today. I think he'd be great with Dior. His girl's stuff looks almost more musculine than the last Dior collection.

BTW, I heard he's from Toronto, not really sure though.

He's canadian. I'd really like to try on some of his stuff. I'm pretty sure a lot of that girl stuff would fit guys as well.

I believe he's Toronto born of Greek/German ancestry. He's quite a Japan enthusiast - understandably, with his minimalist leanings. He's stocked in Tokyo at LOVELESS.

Somewhat of an off-topic question: Was it Taralis who once mentioned his love of denim because of its everlasting, story-telling quality? I forgot which of Slimane's assistants said something like that...if so it's a shame because the jeans designed by DH during the Taralis era aren't likely to last 5+ years, i'm talkin those waxed and painted denims!
