Shoes that look better with age...

To me those don't look much different than Blundstones.

Blundstone have a molded rubber sole, and can't be resoled. These have some sort of a welted sole, and look to be much higher quality. While I'm not generally a fan of the Paraboot shoe trend around here recently, their quality is top notch and bomber.

They look closer to DM Chelsea boots than Blundstones but then again, any rubber soled Chelsea boots aren’t going to look that dissimilar in a photo. I’ve worn both Blunnies and Paraboots and the quality of the Paraboots will be much higher.

Anyone think the new Wesco chukka boots just look...off?
I remember I posted these before, but something just doesn't add up.

i took my lofgren m43’s out for an inaugural rainy walk today. i’ve had them since june so they’ve only seen dust in their lifetime. you can’t see from the photo but the front half of the right boot is much nappier than the left. it bothers me a good deal. does anyone know of an easy way for me to make the left boot nappy as well? this is my first really experience with rough-out.

You could try to raise the nap on the left boot with a suede brush. It might just be shorter though.

@roomtemplacroix - agreeing with @the shivman - suede brushing may well do it, but my experience with redwing pecos [which I know is not same quality control / standard as lofgren] is that the nap length is not standard, even within panels of the boots themselves... one boot has a really nappy panel at the front of the shaft...

... the other boot has very nappy pull up straps...

the nap is matched on the vamp tho...

^ I find this kind of thing infuriating, it really brings out the vamp-ire in me.

lol: majorly mismatching vamps would piss me off some, but mismatching shafts bring character in all ways; innuendo or no...

Arpenteur just released their new Paraboot collaboration, I'll be ordering a pair.
Just trying to determine sizing, leaning toward the 45. My other pair were UK 11 so I think that lines up.

Received my Arpenteur x Paraboot Elevage boots, these are pretty much exactly what I've been looking for in a chelasea boot.
They're made with an oiled nubuck leather, so they do kind of have a Blundstone vibe to them.
Size 45 feels perfect size wise, not much wiggle room once they're on so my feet don't slide around.

@Broark they look great. I'd be after a pair if I didn't have DM'S in the same style. Although they look much nicer
