Shoes that look better with age...

If you really need to delete a tab, you can try the following. Cut it out with scissors close to the edge. Carefully separate the parallel threads with a regular needle, not very sharp, taking care not to scratch the skin, all the way to the stitch. Push the rest of the perpendicular threads inside between the stitches with the back of the needle or with a blunt awl. I used to remove labels on fabric this way, most probably it could be done here, too.

remove tab of the shoes, pants, or jacket seems to me the same as castration of cats .... by the way Paraboot tab  is beautiful and would fade with shoes....

Really didn't know where else to put this but I'll see if I can get some traction here.

Have recently became fairly obsessed with vintage fifties and sixties ACME cowboy boots with the painted leather inlays and thought I would try my hand at customizing some boots.

First here are a few examples of what I'm talking about.

And the boots themselves. Pretty cheap,  shaft my be synthetic.

And here is what I've come up with for options

1. Cream and baby blue inlays, red piping

Option 2:

Cream and Red inlays, baby blue piping

Or

Option 3:

Blue and red up front,  cream in the back with or without piping

Chiming in on the Birks chat...

Meet my slippers... super comfy footwear

Had these about 10 years, worn most days over that period, starting to fail but reckon there's a plenty of life in the old dogs yet

I also have the Boston clogs (comfy but not the best lookers imo) and Zurich which I like a lot more

Joining in on the Birk love, this is a pair of Bostons that I've had since maybe 2016. Worn mostly to take the dog out or for quick errands.
Don't really do much with them in regards to care, just lathered them up with some Obenauf's as they were looking a bit tattered.

And a pair of Rancourt Ranger Mocs that I got back in 2020 when they were running a crowdfunding promo.
Similarly to the Birks I don't ever do much with these, these are also freshly coated with Obenauf's.
Probably would look nicer if I put shoe trees in 'em, but I can't be bothered...

Got a pair of the MOTO #2121 in light brown Latigo

Wore them every day for around the first two weeks straight, but figured I should condition them before going much further

Photos are after a quick wiping + brushing off, but before any conditioning
