personally i like the smaller one. i just like that aesthetic though, the xl just looks like a normal (albeit very nice) rectangular watch to me. imo you can't go wrong with either.

ha, great to see some cartier enthusiasts around here...

on my side, thinking to cop this one very soon... its going to be my first (real) watch if i am not afraid to pull the trigger on it !

the iwc i like (the top gun) is likely to be above my price range, and i might also be tempted by a panerai or a rolex milgauss (though even this model is not the most popular one, its still cliché to have a rolex...)

That seller supposedly has one for the 031, im not sure what details to look for but you might be able to find it.

I love the Cartier tank and I'm really interested in buying the solo. I am deciding between the XL (left) or L (right).

The XL is automatic and has a date function (L has neither) but I feel that the L looks better on my wrist.

The XL suits your wrist better. Though personally I'd pick the smaller one.

Here's my new Elgin.   Found it at an estate sale last week.  It looked pretty bad as the crystal was all cracked and spiderwebed and no band.   Bought a new crystal and band and off it went.  Looks like I just bought it from the store.  It's an automatic and I like to watch that red arrow second hand sweep around it.  I think it's a late 50's early 60's model.

Looking (and saving up) for a Chronometer now. What do you guys think about a Moonwatch co-axial?

I prefer the styling of the traditional 3 sub-dial SMP. Not to mention the co-axial speedmasters are all 44.25mm, which is stupid large.

Any recs for a watch that is digital, and has a timer and a light, and is not bulky either?

any suggestions for leather watch straps? all the ones I buy tend to fall apart after a few months of regular use.

i think that's an awesome watch.

why not just replace it?

I got this watch from my girl, it´s great for wearing all black everything and it won´t drain your bank account.

yeah its good, i wouldn't change anything on it. but my fancy self wants something a bit more upmarket than plastic.

not aware of the lore though; googled it and it came up with terrorist bombs.

Besides Kent Wang, I recommend Hirsch.
