also, killing a pink baby crocodile for a shit watch strap is not cool.

I know - I'm vegetarian so I don't even eat meat (since birth), but I'm allergic to synthetics and the crocodile was shorter than the pink calf as I have teeny wrists.

As I wouldn't eat either it was an easy choice.

I have to wear leather shoes and I love leather bikers, but that's as far as it goes.(apart from my 4 handbags, which I've had for years).

Anyone know where to buy this this strange Timex - Submariner knockoff? It was labeled as Timex Black Collection (for Japan).

Looking forward to October! Seiko and Lucas films will release a star wars collection, I'm considering to purchase the R2-D2 series.

The series includes signature timepieces for each Darth Vader, Darth Maul, C-3P0, and Yoda as well as a Stormtrooper edition

can't decide if a NATO strap or a leather strap(brown?) would look better on this...

lugs are too dressy for a nato. brown leather would look good imo

Never been a fan of leather natos but I'm thinking about putting my vintage gmt Pepsi on a tan cordovan strap.

This watch (google image)

On this strap

Is this a good idea?

No. A brown strap and a black clock face is like brown shoes with a black suit. It's just wrong.

i love my skx007 w/ rubber diving strap, but i need something dressier for occasions when i have to wear a tie etc. problem is i like chunky auto pilot/diving watches and am not really into male dress watches as the only one's i like are way out of my price range ($400 max at the moment). should i just buy another skx007 and put a 'smart' nato strap on it?

you could really just buy yourself a bracelet and springbar tool and dress up/dress down your skx007 accordingly. buying 2 of the same watches makes absolutely no sense to me but there are a lot of guys out there who would without batting an eyelid.

i would advise you to hold off a purchase until you have enough for what you really like. however if you MUST have something to tide you over for now, you could look at sterile pilot watches and perhaps make this smaller purchase until you have enough for the big one.

agree with that. plus, i'm not sure why a nato would be dressier than a rubber strap. get the jubilee bracelet that the skx007 comes on.

i just figured it would be super annoying changing the strap all the time - esp since i've read the 007 is notoriously difficult due to the large spring bars (never actually tried myself). is there a similar auto watch with a nato/jubilee bracelet for under $500?
